What's It Gonna Take?

***Kinda makes you wonder what the heck it will take to bring down a Clinton, Democrat, liberal, insert leftist noun here. She flat-out lied, and it has barely caused a blip in the mainstream news universe.

Multiple intelligence agencies sent classified emails to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private email address, the main account she used for the duration of her tenure, sources say.

According to Fox News, investigators have discovered that information came from the National Security Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Nation-Geospatial Agency, as well as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and the CIA.
The Office of the Intelligence Community inspector general has identified five emails containing classified information when it conducted a random sampling from the emails she released to the State Department.

***Dentist who killed The Lion Who Walked On Water is in hiding. This.Is.Nuts. See what liberal media saturation does? Anything to distract from Hillary's putrid hypocrisy.

Where in the world is Walter Palmer?
That's what officials on two continents want to know as they investigate the Minnesota dentist's killing of a beloved African lion amid a growing international outcry that now has reached the White House.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service investigators reportedly have visited Palmer's home and office to question him about the killing of Cecil, a lion who had a rare black mane and who was made famous in Zimbabwe tourist campaigns.
"I'm sure he knows" that officials in the U.S. and Zimbabwe want to speak with him, Ed Grace, chief law enforcement officer for Fish and Wildlife told the Washington Post. "We've made repeated attempts to try and get in contact with him," Grace told the newspaper.

For heaven's sake.

When John found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a woman to enjoy it with.

So one evening he went to a singles bar where he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away.

"I may look like just an ordinary man," he said as he walked up to her, "but in just a week or two, my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars."

Impressed, the woman went home with him that evening and, three days later she became his stepmother.

A Darn Shame

***The leadership of the Boy Scouts have ruined a once wonderful organization by caving to less than 3% of the population. The Gaystapo (I stole that term from Jasmius over at Political Pistachio) will not be happy as long as there is any semblance of morality or religious reference in the Boy Scouts of America. Once they have eradicated everything that made it a great organization and turned it into another mealy-mouthed, meaningless, dying clique, then they'll move on to the next one. They have been slammed by Baptists and Mormons, and no doubt there will be a lot of religious organizations pulling out. That will ruin them, and the militant gays know that. It's all part of the plan. WHEN will people learn that appeasement never works with radicals?

A decision by the Boy Scouts of America to allow gay leaders was met with indignation by the largest U.S. Protestant group on Tuesday along with criticism from a leading gay rights group that the move did not go far enough.
About 70 percent of the roughly 100,000 U.S. Boy Scout units are sponsored by religious institutions, and many said the Monday decision runs counter to the moral standards set by the 105-year-old youth organization.
"We express consummate sadness that this once vibrant organization continues to cave to social pressure, compromising its long-held, constitutionally protected tenets," said Roger "Sing" Oldham, a spokesman for the Nashville-based Southern Baptist Convention.
This has nothing to do with rights. If they want to start an organization for gays and teach boys to quilt and do origami, nobody's stopping them. You can bet straight groups won't be clamoring that they be allowed in.

***I'm sure you've heard all the hoopla about Cecil the lion's death in Zimbabwe. Really? We've got a major group receiving taxpayer money and selling baby parts, and we're in an uproar over this?

***As usual, not much time to blog today. I'm hoping to have my two new hires up and running next week. I was hoping that last week too...

***Planned Parenthood wants the media to stop covering their body parts selling story. Probably bad for business. Don't worry - the major media isn't doing a lot of coverage anyway.

How bad is the baby organ trafficking story for Planned Parenthood? So bad that the nation’s largest abortion provider has hired a pricey PR firm to bully media outlets into not covering the scandal. According to Politico, Planned Parenthood hired Democratic megafirm SKDKnickerbocker to handle its public relations effort surrounding the widening organ trafficking scandal. In a series of undercover videos released by the Center for Medical Progress, multiple top Planned Parenthood executives are captured haggling over the prices of aborted baby body parts and discussing ways to maximize money earned through the harvesting and sale of human organs. Unsurprisingly, preventing coverage of the videos is apparently key to Planned Parenthood’s survival strategy: "The group circulated a memo to reporters and producers late Monday that discouraged them from airing the undercover videos, arguing that they were obtained under false identification and violated patient privacy."

Well heck, of course your privacy is more important than the evil you're perpetuating on the taxpayer's dime. What a vile, evil organization.

***There is Another Sky
by Emily Dickinson

There is another sky,
Ever serene and fair,
And there is another sunshine,
Though it be darkness there;
Never mind faded forests, Austin,
Never mind silent fields -
Here is a little forest,
Whose leaf is ever green;
Here is a brighter garden,
Where not a frost has been;
In its unfading flowers
I hear the bright bee hum:
Prithee, my brother,
Into my garden come!

He Has a Point...

***I'm not a big Donald Trump fan, but whether he means what he says or not he's keeping some things in the forefront of conversation in this country that need to be talked about. Illegal immigration is the most obvious one, but I saw this headline today over at NewsMax: "Trump: How Can Hillary Run After Her Criminal Actions?"

Trump said he also made "some very strong statements" about Clinton in Iowa on Saturday, condemning her use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

"What she has done is criminal," Trump said. "I don't see how she can run. …What she did is far worse than what Gen. [David] Petraeus did, and he's gone down in disgrace. … I mean, she got rid of her server. He never did anything like that."

Clinton is being "protected" by Democrats and by the mainstream media, he said, noting how The New York Times made changes to a recent story that initially reported that Clinton herself had sent classified information over her private email server, then changed it to reflect that someone had, but did not specify the person.

"I respect the Times for going after her like that, but even the fact that they changed the story upon their request, I think they were more right the first time, Trump said.

I like the focus on her criminality and the media covering her ample behind. Love him or hate him, at least he's talking about it.

***Of course Hillary's attack dogs are out in force criticizing The New York Times for even covering the story - even after they changed it and tried to make her look a little better. Notice that she never just answers the questions?

***U.S. troop withdrawal let Islamic state enter Iraq. Well of course it did, and George W. Bush warned of that very thing.

A number of former and current military leaders who were in power when all U.S. troops left Iraq are saying today that the complete exit left the door open for the Islamic State’s land grab.
The assessment comes from the Army chief of staff, a former Marine commandant, a former U.S. Central Command chief, a former defense secretary and, privately, from the officer now running the war in Iraq against the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS.

This administration has been a dismal failure with its foreign policy, and their only argument seems to be that it's Bush's fault.

***You won't see this on the news: Police kill more whites than blacks, but minority deaths generate more outrage.

Al, Barry, and Jesse can make a lot more money and get a lot more face time when they can pretend to be all bothered about some black thug's death.

***Extreme facts about the human body.

Longest We Can Go Without Sleep: 11 Days
In 1964, Randy Gardner, a 17-year-old in San Diego, woke up at 6 a.m. to start his science project: an attempt to break the world record for days without sleep. He succeeded. Gardner made it to 11 days while William Dement, a Stanford University psychiatrist, monitored his vitals. Gardner remained lucid, albeit irritable. Since then, studies have shown that rats deprived of shut-eye will die within 30 days, and a rare disease called fatal familial insomnia, which stops people from dozing off at all, causes death in a few months to a few years.

Longest We Can Go Without Solid Food: 382 Days
Of course, this feat is easier to accomplish if you’re obese to start with—which was the case with “Patient A.B.” The 27-year-old, under observation at the University of Dundee in Scotland, weighed 456 pounds when he started his fast in the 1973 study. With a diet of purely noncaloric food such as yeast and multivitamins, he
dropped to 180 by the time the study ended, more than a year later. Needless to say: Don’t try this at home.

Most Weight We Can Lift: 1,000 Pounds
The world’s strongest weight lifters can hoist 1,000 pounds—but Todd Schroeder, a biokinesiologist at the University of Southern California, thinks they’re wimping out. Our brains limit the number of muscle fibers activated at any time to keep us from getting hurt. “Turn that safety off, and you can produce a lot more force,” Schroeder says. He thinks optimal training, including mental, may help athletes tap as much as 20 percent more strength.

***I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
by Maya Angelou

The free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wings
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with fearful trill
of the things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill for the caged bird
sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

Then there was the fun and games inside the convention hall – nothing like blue stater on blue stater fratricide to quicken the pulse and put a spring in your step. That glorious intramural warfare led to a Republican president. It may well again in 2016.
Back in 1968, the Democrat Party was divided between liberals who loved America and liberals who hated everything about it. The situation is a little different now, with today’s Democrat Party divided between liberals who hate everything about America and liberals who really, really hate everything about it.

The delightful scene at Netroots where Martin O’Malley was forced to do penance before a jeering crowd of washed-out undergrads for the sin of saying “All lives matter” was a harbinger of the future. The Democrats are on the verge of being sucked into their own vortex of progressive insanity that will bar them from any chance to reach out of their psychotic echo chamber to normal Americans. It serves them right.

Hillary doesn’t need this. Her poll numbers are plummeting – gee, who would have thought that a corrupt, condescending, commie shrew might be unpopular? Hillary is America’s First Wife, a sour, sexless, disapproving presence eager to spend the next eight years telling us all how we are failing to measure up to her exacting standards.

Have to Share

***Over at Political Pistachio, Jasmius has a really good piece up about Obama's recent trip to Africa to lecture them on gay rights. An excerpt:

"I've been consistent all across Africa on this. When you start treating people differently, because they're different, that's the path whereby freedoms begin to erode. And bad things happen," he said after talks with the Kenyan leader, in response to a question on gay rights.

Oh, you mean like how the Gaystapo is eroding the freedoms of evangelical Christians in this country to your hearty approval and encouragement, Barry?  Yeah, that's what I thought.

"As an African-American in the United States....

Uh-uh-uh.  You're an American (technically), and half your heritage is African, but you are not an "African-American," because your father was never an American.  "Let you be clear".

....I am painfully aware of what happens when people are treated differently under the law. I am unequivocal on this," Obama told a joint news conference, openly disagreeing with Kenyatta.

You've never experienced racial discrimination in your entire, misbegotten, over-privileged, perfumed prince life.  But you sure as shinola are inflicting a buttload of it.

He said that the notion "a law-abiding citizen... will be treated differently or abused because of who they love is wrong, full stop."

Or Whom they worship?  That seems to be the growing wave of discrimination in this country these days, again, at your instigation.

Such an uplifting sermon this morning about the fact that we don't have to live in fear that God is going to whack us when we sin. Jesus took all of God's wrath against sin with Him to the cross, and our faith and belief in His atonement frees us to serve God because we love Him, not because we're afraid of Him. Listening every Sunday to the truth is like an oasis after being bombarded all week with the evil going on in the world, and in our own country.

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat, making beer... Always something more important to me. Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.
When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again I handed her a toothbrush. I said, "When you finish cutting the grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."

***Hey...now you can rent a chicken if you want fresh eggs!

A Pennsylvania couple has come up with a solution to soaring U.S. egg prices: Rental chickens.RentTheChicken.com is the brainchild of Jenn and Phil Tompkins, of Freeport, Pennsylvania, northeast of Pittsburgh. More than just a cost-beater, they see their business as a way to change how people think about food.
"It changes the mindset of people when they know where food comes from," said Jenn Tompkins, 38. "Pretty soon they'll have tomato plants and be turning the chicken manure into compost."
Since starting their home-based business in the summer of 2013, they have rented chickens, either directly or through affiliates, to about 200 customers in 12 U.S. states as well as Ontario and Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Interest has been spurred by a surge in U.S. egg prices, which rose a record 85 percent last month after an outbreak of bird flu led to the culling of millions of laying hens nationally, according to U.S. Labor Department data.
For about $400, depending on location, the service provides two laying hens for the four to six warm months of the year, plus a chicken coop and a guidebook.

Now that's what I call innovative thinking. More power to them!

I still get to spend the morning with Mom doing our usual Saturday morning stuff. We've had a beautiful week weather-wise, hope it continues for the weekend. ***Andrew McCarthy says Obama deserves impeachment over the Iran deal. But...I don't think there are enough guts in the GOP to go ahead with it. There are some standouts, to be sure, but a few principled Republicans such as Trey Gowdy and Ted Cruz can't get anything done if they are outnumbered by weak-kneed RINOs. They know they'll be trashed in the press. Hard to believe that they still don't get that they will never get positive press as long as they're Republicans, unless of course they're trashing their own. Then they're media darlings.

The president “must certainly be punishable for giving false information to the Senate.” One can imagine hearing such counsel from a contemporary United States senator on the receiving end of President Obama’s “full disclosure” of the nuclear deal with Iran. But the admonition actually came from James Iredell, a champion of the Constitution’s ratification, who was later appointed to the Supreme Court by President George Washington. Iredell was addressing the obligations the new Constitution imposed on the president in the arena of international affairs. Notwithstanding the chief executive’s broad powers to “regulate all intercourse with foreign powers,” it would be the president’s “duty to impart to the Senate every material intelligence he receives.” Indeed, among the most egregious offenses a president could commit would be fraudulently inducing senators “to enter into measures injurious to their country, and which they would not have consented to had the true state of things been disclosed to them.”

This is only one of many things the president has done that are impeachable.

Never Give Up!

Sir Winston Churchill took three years getting through eighth grade because he had trouble learning English. It seems ironic that years later Oxford University asked him to address its commencement exercises.
He arrived with his usual props. A cigar, a cane and a top hat accompanied Churchill wherever he went. As Churchill approached the podium, the crowd rose in appreciative applause. With unmatched dignity, he settled the crowd and stood confident before his admirers. Removing the cigar and carefully placing the top hat on the podium, Churchill gazed at his waiting audience. Authority rang in Churchill’s voice as he shouted, “Never give up!”
Several seconds passed before he rose to his toes and repeated: “Never give up!” His words thundered in their ears. There was a deafening silence as Churchill reached for his hat and cigar, steadied himself with his cane and left the platform. His commencement address was finished.

***Restaurants warn NY push for $15 wage could close hundreds of businesses. Ever notice that liberals never learn? No matter how many times socialism fails, they want to try it again.
Critics are blasting a New York Wage Board decision to hike the minimum wage to $15 an hour for fast food establishments that threatens to close hundreds of businesses.
The International Franchise Association, which represents tens of thousands of major chain restaurants and their franchisees, said that the decision could lead to massive job losses and closed stores.
The "New York wage board decision to discriminate against the quick service food industry will cost jobs and potentially cause small businesses to close," IFA president & CEO Steve Caldeira said in a statement. "Applying a new mandatory minimum wage increase to a narrow group of businesses creates an un-level playing field for owners that provide important entry-level jobs and valuable experience for millions of workers across the state of New York."
The government should not be mandating what businesses pay their employees. That is massive government overreach, but it's what liberals do. They want centralized power in order to dictate how we may live our lives, what we can and can't do, how much of our money we're allowed to keep. It always gets me when I'm in a debate with a liberal about the "rich," and they talk about how they're "hiding their money." Can't they see what's wrong with that statement? Why should they have to hide THEIR money? Easy, so the government can't confiscate it. But to a liberal, that is a sin. The government, after all, knows better than we how our money should be spent, right?

Boehner Vows to Fight

***I hope this isn't just talk: Boehner vows fight to scuttle Iran agreement. It is disastrous, I hope the GOP does everything in its power to stop it.

House Speaker John Boehner vowed Wednesday to do "everything possible" to stop the newly struck Iran nuclear deal, as Congress formally begins consideration of the hard-fought pact.
"While the president's Iran deal may have been applauded at the United Nations, I think he faces serious skepticism here at home," Boehner told reporters at a briefing. "Let me just assure you that members of Congress will ask much tougher questions this afternoon when we meet with the president's team, because a bad deal threatens the security of the American people."
The warning comes just days after the U.N. Security Council endorsed the deal, over the objections of many in Congress. Republicans, and some Democrats, had wanted the administration to wait until Congress reviews it before seeking approval from the United Nations.

Oh, I can hear the talking heads now - why, the President's just trying to keep America safe! Republicans just want to get in the way because he's black...blah blah blah. Stay strong, Republicans. Our national security is at stake here.

***Ancient burned Hebrew scroll reveals its secrets. This is fascinating!

The contents of an ancient burned Hebrew scroll have been deciphered for the first time thanks to state-of-the-art 3D scanning and digital imaging software.
The rare parchment scroll, which was discovered 45 years ago in Ein Gedi, Israel, was completely burned around 1,500 years ago, according to archaeologists.  Originally located inside the Holy Ark of the synagogue at Ein Gedi on the western shore of the Dead Sea, the scroll has puzzled archaeologists for decades, prompting the deployment of sophisticated technology to decipher the document.

The Israel Antiquities Authority worked with Israeli imaging specialist Merkel Technologies, which performed high-resolution 3D scanning of the scroll. Researchers then sent their findings to Professor Brent Seales of the University of Kentucky who developed digital imaging software to virtually “unroll” and visualize the text, according to the Israel Antiquities Authority.
After a year of high-tech research, scientists were able to decipher the first 8 verses of the Book of Leviticus.

Facts are Stubborn Things

***That certainly doesn't stop liberals from ignoring them. Take Hillary Clinton's latest attack on Scott Walker:

“Republican governors like Scott Walker have made their names stomping on workers’ rights, and practically all Republican candidates would do the same as president,” Clinton growled at Manhattan’s New School. “I will fight back against these mean-spirited, misguided attacks. Evidence shows that the decline of unions may be responsible for a third of the increase of inequality among men. So, if we want to get serious about raising income, we have to get serious about supporting union workers.”

Later that day, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka snapped, “Scott Walker is a national disgrace.”
Liberals like Clinton and Trumka have it all wrong. Workers have been waxing, not waning, under Walker. And they can thank his free-market reforms for improving their lives. If there’s one thing workers value, it’s work. And on this score, Wisconsin’s Republican governor has delivered. The Badger State’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 7.4 percent in January 2011 (the month of Walker’s inauguration) to 4.6 percent in May 2015 (the latest available figure). U.S. joblessness dropped from 9.0 percent to 5.5 percent over that period. Wisconsin’s unemployment, thus, stands well below America’s.
Doesn't matter. Their uninformed supporters will not bother to find out the facts for themselves. They will take the lies at face value and spread them. It's what liberals do. You can bet that Killary and Trumka know that what they're saying is the opposite of the truth. Again, that doesn't matter. They have an agenda, and have long ago abandoned any pretense of integrity to further it.

Call to Action

***I am going to print this in its entirety. The mother of three marines is speaking out, and we need to support her:

America’s military personnel live in a war zone — and that’s before they even get sent to a battle zone in another country.
I have three daughters who are Marines. Am I angry about the murder of the four Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee? I’m worse than angry. I’m so angry I can hardly write. I’m mad as hell, and I ain’t gonna take it anymore. And I’ve been angry for eight years or more.  I’m angry at the fools who gave us Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.56, which for all intents and purposes, put our troops in the position of sitting ducks at home and around the world.

And I’m angry that the welcome mat is STILL out, allowing tens of thousands of Middle Eastern sickos into our country.

I can’t even fathom what kind of stupid logic is behind a directive which forces our military personnel to leave their weapons in a locked arsenal on a military base — while also forcing those same military personnel to work side-by-side with people who are pretty obviously going to be gunning for them at some point. This policy, issued for their own protection I’m sure, issued by people surrounded by the best security systems the DOD can provide, also put unarmed recruiters in strip malls with no bulletproof glass and again no firearms.  They don’t even have a can of mace they can throw at someone.
This isn’t the first time military recruiters have come under fire or been killed at work, as we’ve recounted here.

News reports indicated that yesterday’s shooter fired numerous rounds into the Chattanooga recruiting center before driving off to find more victims. It was reported that the shooting lasted about 20 seconds at the first location and 20 to 45 MINUTES at the second location. If you’re the parent of a Marine — or the spouse, child, or just a friend — can you imagine what those Marines went through being shot at with NO WAY to return fire and possibly save themselves?
It’s obvious that no one at any level in the Pentagon is going to demand our military personnel be given a fighting chance to survive in the war zone that American has become. Even after Ft. Hood, our Commander-in-Chief did not order this directive to be rescinded.

Our troops live in harm’s way every day to protect us. It’s time for us to demand their right to protect themselves.  How long do you think Congress, the Pentagon paper pushers, and the Commander-in-Chief would report for work to a strip mall office with glass windows, NO armed security guards, no Capitol Police, no Secret Service, no fences, no armored vehicles, and no personal weapons? Yet this is what they demand of our military personnel who are assigned to recruiting stations across the country.
All of us have pens and phones. It’s a crying shame that the people in the Pentagon who are supposed to be protecting our troops are just covering their butts and trying to save their careers until Obama’s gone. It shouldn’t be up to the civilians to look out for the protection of our troops, but apparently it is. These people work for us. I encourage you to call them and demand action — before we’re looking at yet another one of these tragedies.

Too Much, Too Little!!

***So much to write about, so little time! This has been another harrowing week, both business-wise and politics-wise.

***The murdered marines at Chattanooga by an Islamic extremist (have you noticed they STILL don't want to say those words?) is heartbreaking. Why on earth would marines at a military base be unarmed? That makes absolutely no sense to me. This is the gun control debate in a nutshell. Do you really think this crazed lunatic would have attacked these marines if he knew they were armed?

Here is some background information on the marines killed.

Rest in peace.

***World's richest woman.

Christy Walton, who inherited a stake in retailer Wal-Mart, retains the title of world’s richest woman. The widow of John Walton has held that spot for five out of the past six years. FORBES pegs her net worth at $41.7 billion, up from $36.7 billion a year ago.

Wow.

***The Planned Parenthood practice of selling baby organs is pure evil. Pure.Evil.

It is difficult to imagine a person whose conscience would not be deeply shaken by the practice of cutting up babies to sell their body parts for cash. But horrifyingly, we don’t have to imagine: In a hidden camera video posted online this week, Planned Parenthood’s director of “Medical Services,” describes casually how abortion doctors harvest lungs, hearts, livers and legs, and sell them for $30 to $100 per piece.
Dr. Deborah Nucatola, the Planned Parenthood executive, describes in the video how she and her colleagues have been able to use ultrasound guidance to extract baby body parts in a form that allows them to be sold for use in medical labs: “We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver,” she said, “because we know that — so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact.”
Why? “A lot of people want intact hearts these days,” she says. “… And then, like I said, always as many intact livers as possible … Some people want lower extremities too, which, that’s simple.” The video was recorded by actors with an anti-abortion group called the Center for Medical Progress. The actors obtained the footage by posing as potential baby-parts customers from a biologics company.

It's hard to understand how anyone can do that.

***Best states for concealed carry - worst to first. Not surprisingly, Washington D.C. is the worst.

Reality is moving in on Barack Obama and the gang that can’t shoot straight. The sun shines bright and the mice won’t find a dark place to hide. The president continues to celebrate the remarkably awful deal he cut with Iran, but the rank and rancid details continue to leak, like something from a neighbor’s overflowing toilet upstairs.
Only yesterday, the day after he lost both cool and temper when a reporter asked a respectful, sensible question about why he let the Iranians off the hook for abusing four American hostages in Tehran, the administration confirmed — because the margins for lying about it continue to shrink — that the president had agreed that no Americans would be permitted to inspect suspected nuclear sites.
Only countries with “normal diplomatic relations” with Iran will be allowed to participate in the inspections organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). That “includes the Americans out,” since putting American diplomats in Tehran puts them in grave danger and the United States so far brooks no relations with barbarians.
This remarkable concession was revealed by the Russians and the Iranians, who are still celebrating what they clearly regard — who can blame them? — as a remarkable triumph over Mr. Obama and his crack negotiators. The concession becomes clear in the text of the agreement released in Moscow and Tehran.

Read the whole thing if you can stomach it.

The Trump Frenzy

***Well, the other candidates should take note. Voters are furious about amnesty, and Donald Trump is saying what we want to hear on that subject. We also like the fact that he hasn't cowed and apologized when called out for his comments. That's good, too many conservatives are afraid of being called racist, bigot, or whatever the Left and the press decide to call them to shut them down. Too many meekly allow them to do it. I honestly don't think he is electable, though. He was a big Hillary donor, how can you be conservative and do that? I need to look into his other views, there is more to being president than your position on immigration.

***Obama lies about his Iran deal. Well of course he did. You don't really expect him to do anything that will make America stronger, do you? I believe he is doing his best to destroy as much of America as he can before he leaves office.

President Barack Obama's claim that Tuesday's deal with Iran has stopped nuclear proliferation is a "lie," says former Vice President Dick Cheney, and may, in fact, have put the world "closer to use of nuclear weapons than we've been at any time since Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

Appearing Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "Hannity," Cheney echoed other critics who say the deal will actually spark a nuclear arms race in the Middle East as other Arab countries fear Iran is now free to build its own weapons.
Further, Cheney said, those nations no longer believe they can rely on the United States to protect them against nuclear aggressors.

This deal is a disaster for us, and a big win for Iran.

***7 things you should know about the Oregon bakers. Some good information here.

Here are a couple:

1. The case hasn’t been seen by a judge in a court of law. The authority issuing the amount? Brad Avakian, the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries of the State of Oregon.
National Review’s David French explains how, across our nation, agencies are investigating discrimination complaints and are given the authority to act as “’judge, jury, and executioner.’” That’s an amazing amount of power for a bureaucrat to wield, and it’s ripe for abuse.
2. Commissioner Brad Avakian is no impartial judge.
He has worked “closely with a powerful gay rights advocacy group in its case against Aaron and Melissa Klein.”
3. Aaron and Melissa Klein were ordered to pay $135,000 in damages for “emotional, mental and physical suffering” to a lesbian couple. These claims were never verified.
The lesbian couple testified they had “felt mentally raped, dirty and shameful” as a result of the Kleins declining to bake their cake and that they suffered from “high blood pressure,” “impaired digestion,” “loss of appetite,” “migraine headaches,” “resumption of smoking habit,” “shock,” “uncertainty,” “weight gain,” “worry,” and “acute loss of confidence.”

The Rose **

Some say love, it is a riverThe Rose
that drowns the tender reed.
Some say love, it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed.

Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need.
I say love, it is a flower,
and you it's only seed.

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.

It's the one who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin'
that never learns to live.

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been to long,
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong,

just remember in the winter
far beneath the winter snows
lies the seed that with the sun's love
in the spring becomes the rose.

*"The Rose" is song written by Amanda McBroom

One Day at a Time

***I've decided I HAVE to get up and do a little exercise every day. I was doing so well there for a while, then I got a couple of new clients and have been so swamped I felt like I couldn't. I've been feeling really crappy in the evenings, though, after spending 12-14 hours at my desk. Yesterday I did my mini weight workout here in my office, today I took a walk. The problem is getting away from it! It took me two hours to finally get outside and walk. Every time I was going to get up and go, somebody from one of my offices needed something. I feel so much better, though, if I get up and move a little. Hopefully I can stay motivated.

***Our weak president signs a weak deal with Iran. This is outrageous. Sure would be nice if the media would report it for what it is: A disaster, and a dangerous one. But no, they will try to make it Obama's legacy.

Rep. DeSantis, chairman of the Subcommittee for National Security :
This Iran deal gives Ayatollah Khamenei exactly what he wants: billions of dollars in sanctions relief, validation of the Iranian nuclear program, and the ability to stymie inspections. It even lifts sanctions against Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, who is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American soldiers during the campaign in Iraq. The deal will further destabilize the Middle East, allow Iran to foment more terrorism, and aid Iran’s rise as the dominant power in the region. By paving Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon, the deal harms American national security and effectively stabs our close ally Israel, which Iran has threatened to wipe off the map, in the back. Congress needs to move swiftly to block this dangerous deal.

What an inmitigated disaster this president has been.

***Poll: Most Americans don't think Iran will abide by nuclear deal.  Duh.

***Government rakes in record taxes, but outspends them. Big surprise.

Despite the record tax revenues of $2,446,920,000,000 in the first nine months of this fiscal year, the government spent $2,760,301,000,000 during those nine months, and, thus, ran up a deficit of $313,381,000,000 during the period.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, total seasonally adjusted employment in the United States in June (including both full and part-time workers) was 148,739,000. That means that the federal tax haul so far this fiscal year has equaled $16,451 for every person in the United States with a job.

Sickening.

Pick & Choose

***James made an observation this morning that is so true - the Left loves to use Bible verses they don't believe to their own advantage. Pretty much the only two they know are "Judge not, lest ye be judged," and "God loves you." Taken out of context, twisted to mean the opposite of the truth, they love to use them in what passes for debate to a liberal, which consists of trying to shout down or silence their opponents with profanity, made up statistics, ad hominems, and if all else fails, the above Bible verses. They have no idea of the whole story, and they don't want to hear it. If you cite Biblical truths, they'll say, "Yeah, but God loves everybody!" as if that completely countermands what God says elsewhere in the Bible. I've even seen many Christians use this as an excuse to support what God clearly defines as sin, namely homosexuality. The Bible spends more time warning about sexual sin than any other, I think because of the consequences. He will forgive a homosexual, obviously, but if his behavior results in contracting AIDS, then he will most likely have to live with that consequence. Same with an adulterer. God will forgive that sin as he will any other, but if you lose your family due to your behavior, you will have to live with that consequence. God didn't cause that, you did. It really bothers me when I see Christians try to "go along to get along," and use the "God loves everybody" argument to justify their refusal to stand up for what is right.

***Working pretty much all day today, but we are making headway. I want to start the week out caught up, to ease my stress load a bit! I've had quite a bit of anxiety this week, and it has affected my sleep. My energy level today is really low, but I have to keep at it. As always, I thank God for my dedicated typists who work their tails off on a daily basis. I think I'll take time a little later to grill some hamburgers - that sounds good!

***"Greece gave us Democracy, now they're showing us how to kill it." ~~ Bobby Jindal. So true.

Warning that Democratic policies are hurtling the United States toward a Greece-like collapse, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Sunday that either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders would wreck the U.S. economy.

Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner, is set to announce her economic vision on Monday, but Jindal, appearing on "Fox News Sunday," said he already knows what it will contain.

"It's going to be more taxes, more government spending, more regulations," he said. "It's feeding a greedier and greedier government that's going to swallow up the private sector economy."
There is never enough money or power for the government, according to the left, Jindal said. "Give Bernie Sanders credit — at least he's willing to call himself a socialist."
Amen, Bobby.

How Do We Cope?

***Well, it has been a week, but I'm finally going to blog about our pastor's sermon last week on the Biblical definition of marriage, and how we as Christians should respond to what is going on in our culture today. He started out with this statement: God designed marriage, so God gets to define marriage. That is so true. He is very clear in His word that marriage is intended to be between a man and a woman.

So the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.

"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Genesis 2:24

"Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband." I Corinthians 7:2

There are more, but you get the idea. There really is no doubt what God intended marriage to be. Now, I know, the world doesn't care what God intended, they care about perverting it into something it is not, to their own ends. James referred to these scriptures:

"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

Romans 1:18-32 is a perfect description of what is going on today. I urge you to read it. Here is part of the passage:

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

So how are we to respond? Here's where my toes got bruised. James reminded us that our battle is against the Devil, and always has been. We are to pray for those who curse us. It's easy to respond with fear and anger - my response is usually incredulity, then anger.

Luke 6:28 says:
"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you."

Not.Easy. This is where I fail time and time again. James reminded us that we have the answer to all of this. We know Who sits on the throne, and we should never be afraid. He concluded with saying the answer is to continue to proclaim the gospel. We've read the end of the Book, and we know who emerges victorious. We have to deal with a lot of bad stuff while we're here, but knowing that in the end we will be in heaven forever should bring great joy to us.

I'm sure I left some good stuff out since I didn't get to this for a week, but you get the gist. I'm working on my attitude - my first inclination when I see people rejoicing that those Christian bakers who wouldn't do a gay wedding cake are losing their livelihood is to get snarky and spit back at them. I've been too darn busy this week to get into any arguments, so that's good. When I do have the chance to read and participate in debate again, I really intend to respond with a more Christian attitude. Man, that's tough for me.
