Just Not Right

***The IRS seized $60,000 of this dairy farmer's money - for doing what the bank told him to do.

Randy Sowers built his dairy farm over three decades into a thriving business. After kick-starting with a $100,000 loan, today the South Mountain Creamery has 1,000 cows and 70 employees delivering milk, ice cream and other products to homes in the Washington, D.C., area.
But the Maryland farmer’s operation suffered a big setback when the IRS swooped in to seize tens of thousands of hard-earned dollars from his account, claiming he violated an obscure banking law.
And despite the federal agency all but admitting the law they used to seize the cash is flawed -- and at least one member of Congress calling the move unconstitutional -- Sowers is still fighting to get his money back.
“We work hard for what we get, and the government can just come in and take that. It's not what it's supposed to be,” Sowers told Fox News.

The IRS should be completely dismantled and a flat tax initiated. Makes too much sense, so it'll never happen.

***Diplomacy for show. Well, the U.S. Embassy is open again in Havana. Wonderful. Did you hear that Castro claims the US owes his country "millions?"

In a reminder of the rocky road ahead, Fidel Castro said in a newspaper column on the eve of the ceremony that the U.S. owes the island "numerous millions of dollars" for damages caused by the embargo. Americans, too, also want to resolve billions of dollars in half-century-old claims over property confiscated after the Cuban revolution.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Democrats agreed.

***Obama Administration threaten states that defund Planned Parenthood. Yes, because that's what the Founders had in mind, of course. The states under the federal government's thumb. Dang, I wish this man could be run out of office tomorrow.
