Facts are Stubborn Things

***That certainly doesn't stop liberals from ignoring them. Take Hillary Clinton's latest attack on Scott Walker:

“Republican governors like Scott Walker have made their names stomping on workers’ rights, and practically all Republican candidates would do the same as president,” Clinton growled at Manhattan’s New School. “I will fight back against these mean-spirited, misguided attacks. Evidence shows that the decline of unions may be responsible for a third of the increase of inequality among men. So, if we want to get serious about raising income, we have to get serious about supporting union workers.”

Later that day, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka snapped, “Scott Walker is a national disgrace.”
Liberals like Clinton and Trumka have it all wrong. Workers have been waxing, not waning, under Walker. And they can thank his free-market reforms for improving their lives. If there’s one thing workers value, it’s work. And on this score, Wisconsin’s Republican governor has delivered. The Badger State’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell from 7.4 percent in January 2011 (the month of Walker’s inauguration) to 4.6 percent in May 2015 (the latest available figure). U.S. joblessness dropped from 9.0 percent to 5.5 percent over that period. Wisconsin’s unemployment, thus, stands well below America’s.
Doesn't matter. Their uninformed supporters will not bother to find out the facts for themselves. They will take the lies at face value and spread them. It's what liberals do. You can bet that Killary and Trumka know that what they're saying is the opposite of the truth. Again, that doesn't matter. They have an agenda, and have long ago abandoned any pretense of integrity to further it.

***Disarming America: Obama administration looks to ban some Social Security recipients from owning guns. They are doing all they can to make sure law abiding citizens cannot protect themselves and their families.

***Spent yesterday at my daughter's house in Columbus, Ohio helping her paint her kitchen cabinets. We were so tired when we got home last night we could barely move. Her kitchen is going to look great! Not a lot of time to play on the internet today, I have a full time typist off today and tomorrow.

***The trend today: Blame somebody else. Wonder where that's coming from?

This college student deserves an “F” in accounting after she blew through a $90,000 college fund on expensive clothes and a trip to Europe and now has no way to pay for her senior year, a predicament  she blames on her parents.
The 22-year-old woman detailed her financial woes on an Atlanta FM-radio show whose wisecracking hosts derided her spendthrift ways and whose listeners belittled on Twitter as the millennial who was giving millennials a bad name. Kim, who did not mention her last name or her school, told “The Bert Show” that it was all her parents fault for not showing her how to manage her money.
“Maybe they should have taught me how to budget a little better, a little more carefully,” she told the show the other day. “They never sat me down and had a real serious talk about it. They said, ‘Here’s your college fund, it’s for classes only.’”
