***I'm in a mood today. Our accountant gave us the bad news about our taxes yesterday. We had sent estimated payments and saved as much as we could in anticipation, but it's not nearly enough. It's like you have a target on your back if you own a small business. So frustrating.

***Well, this is good news: Federal judge refuses to lift ban on Obama immigration plan.

A federal judge in Texas has refused to lift a temporary block on a White House immigration plan that would have shielded millions of illegal immigrants from deportation, court documents show.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen in Brownsville, a city along the border with Mexico, rejected a U.S. Justice Department request to remove a ban on the plan he issued in February.
Twenty-six U.S. states filed a lawsuit alleging Obama had exceeded his powers with executive orders that would let up to 4.7 million illegal immigrants stay in the country without threat of deportation. Obama's orders bypassed Congress, which has not been able to agree on immigration reform.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement on Tuesday that the Obama Administration misled the court regarding early implementation of expanded work permits to illegal immigrants.

There are a few judges left who respect the Constitution, apparently. Thank goodness for this one. The Republicans need to make sure His Lowness doesn't implement a disastrous deal with Iran and bypass Congress to do it. He will if they let him.

***Cheney: Obama wants to take America down.  I believe this wholeheartedly. You don't love your country and continue to enact policies designed to weaken it. I can't think of one positive thing Obama has done to make America greater. He just apologizes for her greatness and tries to cut her down to size. I really can't stand this man. Maybe you can tell.

Hewitt asked the former vice president, "Is he naïve, Mr. Vice President? Or does he have a far-reaching vision that only he entertains of a realigned Middle East that somehow it all works out in the end?"
"I don’t know, Hugh. I vacillate between the various theories I’ve heard, but you know, if you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world and reduce our capacity to influence events, turn our back on our allies and encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama’s doing. I think his actions are constituted in my mind those of the worst president we’ve ever had."

Cheney would have made a great president had his health allowed it.

***This is so true!!

***Little known fact: The Fourth of July is not the day the Founders signed the Declaration of Independence.  On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress agreed to break away from the British.  On July 4, the Congress formally adopted the Declaration of Independence.  On July 8, 1776 Colonel John Nixon of Philadelphia read a printed Declaration of Independence to the public for the first time on what is now called Independence Square. But the Declaration wasn’t signed by most of the delegates until August 2, 1776.

***Obama's latest national security fraud.

The much-ballyhooed “April Fool’s Deal” on Iran’s nuclear weapons program has been controversial for many months. Critics have persuasively warned that what’s emerged is a “bad deal.” President Obama and his partisans insist that it’s “better than no deal.”
But the real question is “what deal?”
Iranian expatriate Amir Taheri warned in the New York Post on Saturday that we don’t actually have a single text of an agreement: “All we have is a number of contradictory statements by various participants in the latest round of talks in Switzerland, which together amount to a diplomatic dog’s dinner.”
In short, Team Obama’s assurances about having achieved even the modest goal of slowing an Iranian nuclear breakout are being rejected in the mullahs’ versions. The president is once again perpetrating national security fraud.
