As Leftist as They Come

***Boy, Obama's really showing his true colors. He mentioned mandatory voting in an interview recently. Mandatory.Voting. He really has no concept of freedom, does he? Of course, the more people who vote, the more votes the Democrats can steal. Not hard to figure out the underlying thinking here.

He's also continuing to flip the bird at our strongest ally in the Middle East.

The historic victory for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week in a campaign defined by hard-line policies is prompting the Obama administration to consider a major shift in its strategy toward Israel.

The White House on Wednesday suggested it could reverse its decades-old policy of using its veto in the United Nations Security Council to protect Israel. It could refuse to veto resolutions related to the Palestinians or introduce a measure of its own, The Wall Street Journal reported.

The U.S. could also lend its support to a two-state solution based on Israel's 1967 borders, a senior White House official told The New York Times.

"We're currently evaluating our approach," State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, according to the Journal. "We're not going to prejudge what we would do if there was a U.N. action."
What fools we have in high places in this country! "We're not going to prejudge..."? That doesn't even make sense. We all know what they mean, though. They're planning to abandon Israel. If he tries to do anything unilaterally with the stroke of his pen, the Republicans had better be all over it.

***THIS is how Democrats win many elections, and get by with it.

A judge has voided the results of a 2014 Kentucky county election over allegations that votes were bought with driveway gravel and beer money.
Incumbent Democrat Charles “Doc” Hardin tallied a slim 28-vote win over Republican challenger John Montgomery last November in the race for Judge-Executive of Magoffin County in the eastern part of the state, 3,281 to 3,253.
But last week Circuit Judge John David Preston refused to declare Hardin the winner, ruling the election outcome was the result of fraud and bribery, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported the other day.

The Founders wanted the turkey as our national symbol, and not the eagle. While turkeys clearly had one fan among the Founders, Benjamin Franklin, it appears that the birds weren’t close to challenging the eagle as the nation’s proud patriotic symbol. The real debate over the Great Seal started in 1776 and it lasted six years.   Franklin’s idea was a design that featured a Biblical scene featuring Moses and Pharaoh. Jefferson wanted a scene depicting the children of Israel and two Anglo-Saxon mythical figures, and John Adams wanted another mythical figure: Hercules. Eventually, the eagle won out as the national symbol.

***Please, mind your own business...

The First Lady of these United States is now urging Americans to stop drinking sweet tea.
Yes – friends – you heard correctly. Mrs. Obama has declared war on the House Wine of the South. It’s all part of her anti-obesity campaign — called Let’s Move.
The website Free Beacon was the first to report on her latest culinary atrocities – urging us to wash down our lettuce and bean sprouts with unsweetened tea.
The First Lady also told Americans to stay away from all-you-can-eat buffets — which I’m sure is great news for all those folks employed by all-you-can-eat buffets.
Mrs. Obama also wants us to consider rustling up some tasty eats from the Department of Agriculture’s Pinterest page. Among her personal favorites are entrees like bean-kale burgers  and curried pumpkin with peas.
I just got a little throw up in my mouth, America.

Dreams

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
