Full Weekend!

***Didn't make it to my blog yesterday. Got up and went to the Amish store with my mom, sister, and aunt. When I got home I started working on my son's/mom's room and my office. It's really amazing how much dust is in a closet, sheesh. If I were allergic to it I'd be dead. Threw away a bunch of stuff, washed a bunch of stuff to go to Goodwill, tubbed a bunch of stuff for our storage unit. Yesterday afternoon we went out to eat at Red Lobster with Mark's mom and sister. Nice day. Still lots to do on the rooms, but I'm going to have to spend some time transcribing and proofreading today, didn't do much yesterday.

***Okay, now that's tacky: Rope used in Saddam Hussein's hanging up for auction. He was an evil man and the world is better off without him, but why in the world would you want THAT?

The rope used to hang ousted Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein is up for auction and could sell for as much as $7 million.
Ex-Prime Minister Mowaffak Al-Rubaie has put the rope up for sale more than eight years after the execution in 2006, The New York Post reported Friday.
An unidentified senior Iraqi political official told the Middle East news site Al-Araby al-Jadeed that several individuals from Israel, Iran and Kuwait have made offers on the rope.

I just hope the proceeds don't make it into the hands of ISIS.

***Jordan is the only country doing anything about ISIS. Of COURSE our president turned down their request for Predator spy drones. Do you still doubt whose side he's on?

The Obama administration this year turned down a request from Jordan for Predator spy drones that would help it locate targets in the war against the Islamic State.
The refusal, disclosed by a House Armed Services Committee member, has gained attention since Jordan has emerged as a critical player in a U.S.-led coalition to destroy the Islamist terrorist group in the days after it released a video of its execution by fire of a captured Jordanian military pilot.
Jordan retaliated Thursday with F-16 airstrikes on the Syrian town of Raqqa and is vowing a relentless war against the Islamic State, also known as ISIL and ISIS.

"U.S. led?" You gotta be kidding. Not since Bush was president.

Great piece. I think he endures because he was a true conservative who loved his country. He did what he thought was best for America, not himself, in stark contrast to what we have now. He had a positive attitude and believed in the greatness of America and her people, again, in stark contrast to Obama. Wish we could find another candidate like him. I think Scott Walker or Mike Pence are the closest we have available.

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. ***IRS sacks Tom Brady with "Super" tax bill. I don't care how much money you have, the IRS shouldn't be confiscating it to this extreme.
Tom Brady and the New England Patriots may have won Super Bowl XLIX, but the Internal Revenue Service is about to sack the MVP quarterback.
The four-time NFL champion owes a hefty tax bill after leading the Patriots to a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Brady will be taxed for his Super Bowl winnings, as well as the Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck given to the game’s most valuable player.
For winning the Super Bowl, Brady’s taxes will exceed $62,164 based on rates compiled by Americans for Tax Reform.
The NFL pays Brady, 37, and his Patriots teammates a Super Bowl bonus of $97,000 each. Brady is subject to the top income tax rate of 39.6% plus the top Medicare tax of 3.8%, which is split with the NFL. That amounts to approximately $40,700 in additional income taxes for winning the Super Bowl.

Outrageous.
