Yucky Super Bowl

***First of all, I'm not an avid football follower, but of course I wanted the Colts to be in the Super Bowl! That said, I think the two that made it, Seattle and New England, are my two least favorite teams. My parameters are different than most people's, probably - I judge a team by the personality of their players, and both of these teams ooze arrogance, especially the Patriots. If I had to pick one, I'd have to say I'd rather see the Seahawks win.

***"Are You Kidding Me?" Yeah, that's what they all should be asking. A tax hike, with the economy still in the tank? That is absolutely the worst thing they could do, and that's what Obama is going to ask for. The Republicans control the purse strings now, and they had better not let it happen or the people who sent them there are going to be very angry.

"No new taxes. Not going to happen. The economy is struggling," the Texas Republican said Monday. "No tax increase, Mr. President. I'm sorry, Congress will not pass that."

The centerpiece of the president's tax proposal is an increase in the capital gains rate on couples making more than $500,000 per year to 28 percent, the same level as under President Ronald Reagan. The top capital gains rate has already been raised from 15 percent to 23.8 percent during Obama's presidency.

Americans were already "paying too high in taxes, percentage wise," Poe said, adding the high corporate tax rate in the U.S. was why "businesses are leaving America."

That's right. Liberals will practically tax them out of existence, then rail about how corporations are taking their businesses overseas. Duh.

***Marching in Alabama for MLK day. Oh please. I'm so sick of these mega-rich stars pretending that things are so awful in America for black people. Discrimination was bad in the past. It's not any more. Get over yourselves and move on.

"We need to be outraged when local law enforcement and the justice system repeatedly allow young, unarmed black men to encounter police and then wind up dead with no consequences," said U.S. Rep. William Clay, a St. Louis Democrat. "Not just in Ferguson, but over and over again across this country."

Why aren't you outraged when young black punks kill each other? Why aren't you outraged when innocent business owners and bystanders are harmed by the very people who claim to be victims? Because you're liberal hypocrites, that's why.

***Large bird attacks Oregon jogger. Well, that's weird.

***Have a great day!
