Glorified

***Another great sermon this morning in Pastor James' series, "The Miracle of Salvation." This has been such an uplifting series for me. I love solid doctrinal preaching, and that's what I get at First Baptist Centerville. I wish we had recorded this series, I'd like to listen to it again. We have studied why we need a savior, faith, the Holy Spirit, sanctification, justification, glorification, and he's not done yet! With all that's going on in the world right now, today's message about how we will eventually be in heaven where there will be no more sin, sickness, pain, sadness, violence, etc. was just what I needed to hear. What a wonderful promise.

***Wow, we're having soup-eatin' weather here in Indiana! I don't mind, I love the cool days. Fall is my favorite time of year.

***“I think what we’ve got going on here in America is the perfect storm of not good things.”

Ya think?

***Embarrassment.

Vice President Joe Biden on Sunday called the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates to clarify that he did not mean to imply in his remarks last week that the Gulf ally was supporting al-Qaida fighters in Syria.
Biden spoke with Prince Mohamed bin Zayed, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and a key Emirati leader, the White House said.
It was the second time in two days that Biden had to call a key partner in President Barack Obama's coalition to walk back comments he made on Thursday, when he said that U.S. allies - including Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE - had funded and armed extremist groups linked to al-Qaida.

Please, somebody lock him in a bunker somewhere...

***Bernie Sanders, Idiot, Vermont:

Sen. Bernie Sanders, Vermont Independent, said today that the level of wealth and income inequality in America has become “incredible and obscene” under the Obama Administration.
“Never before in the modern history of our country have so few had so much and so many had so little. This incredible and obscene level of wealth and income inequality is a grave danger to our economy and our political system,” Mr. Sanders said in a press release Saturday.
Mr. Sanders, who is rumored to be considering a bid for president in 2016, pointed to a new survey from Forbes magazine showing the 400 wealthiest Americans are now worth $2.29 trillion, a 13 percent increase from last year.
Mr. Sanders said most Americans are becoming poorer while the richest continue to gain more wealth. In his statement, Mr. Sanders wrote that median family income has declined by almost $5,000 since 1999 and more than half of Americans have less than $10,000 in savings.
“Congress must summon the courage to take on their big money campaign contributors and pass legislation that asks the wealthy to start paying their fair share of taxes and overturns the disastrous Supreme Court decision on Citizens United,” Mr. Sanders said.

He's a self-proclaimed Socialist, why they keep sending him back to Washington is beyond me. The wealthy pay more than their fair share, and low income people don't pay any taxes. This is liberal hysteria over people who have more than they do. What's worse is the millionaire Democrats railing against rich people...huh? Does John Kerry have any idea how stupid he sounds blaming America's economic woes on the rich? It has nothing to do with the rich and everything to do with the socialist policies being advanced in Washington, socialist policies that would be put on an even faster track if Sanders had anything to do with it. I hope he does run for president in 2016, what an easy target.

Not really sure whether that's cute or creepy.

There was a little old lady who was very spiritual who would  step  out on her porch every day, raise her arms to the sky and  yell, "Praise the Lord"

One day, an atheist bought the house next door to her, and he
became very irritated with the spiritual lady. So after a month
 or so of her yelling,
"Praise the Lord" from her porch, he would go
outside on his porch and yelled back, "There is no Lord."

Yet,  the  little  old lady continued. One cold, wintry day,
when  the  little  old lady couldn't get to the store, she went
out  on  her  porch,  raised  her hands up to the sky and said,
"Help  me  Lord, I have no more money, it's cold, and I have no
more food."

The next morning, she went outside, and there were bags of  food  on  the porch, enough to last her a week. "Praise the Lord," she yelled.

The  Atheist stepped out from the bushes and said, "There is
no Lord, ha ha ha, I bought those groceries!"

:)    (Hold on . . the ending is VERY good!).

The  little  old  lady  raised her arms to the sky and said,
"Praise  the Lord, You sent me groceries and you made
the Devil
   pay for them!"
