Fall's Here!

***Mom & I about froze this morning while out yard saling. THEN it started sleeting! I love fall, but I'm not ready for sleet! Got some pumpkins at the Amish store, but I'll let Mark pick out the rest of the mums and gourds and stuff - he's really good at making the outside of our home look great for fall. Didn't find much at the yard sales today, but it's still fun to go and look.

***Great piece by Charles Krauthammer: Why Winning the Senate Matters. It's absolutely imperative, people. Inform everyone you can, and VOTE. Our country and our way of life is at stake.

Lots of good information in this article, take the time to read it.

***I can't believe that cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal was asked to speak at a commencement. What possible reason could the administrators have for asking him?

A Vermont college's selection of convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal as speaker at its commencement Sunday is a “despicable” decision that should be reversed, his victim's widow told FoxNews.com.
Maureen Faulkner, whose husband Daniel was gunned down by Abu-Jamal in 1981, was shocked to learn of the selection by undergraduate students at tiny Goddard College in Plainfield. Abu-Jamal, who will not attend the event and whose speech will be pre-recorded, received a bachelor of arts degree from the 245-student liberal arts college in 1996 through a correspondence program.
“It’s not appropriate,” Faulkner said. “His freedom was taken away when he murdered a police officer in the line of duty. It seems like our justice system allows murderers to continue to have a voice over the public airwaves and at college commencement. It’s despicable.”

I really don't get it.

***Another crooked Obama hack: HUD official pleads guilty to stealing $843,000 in taxpayer funds. No big deal, it's not like the "mainstream" media is going to do any reporting.

***Most delicious food trucks in America. I didn't know those still existed.
Crab leg pizza? Um, no.

Allow Yourself To Fight
Poet: , © 2012

There are some days you may feel,
As if things just aren't going right.
No amount of attempts to avoid,
You step into the big mud puddle despite!

On these days to give up would be easy,
You'd like to just walk away.
And sometimes taking a step back,
May be exactly the right way.

But at a point you'll have to decide,
If you're going to let them win.
This is the time that you'll look deep inside,
And see if you have it within.

When you are ready to take the next step,
And show that you are ready to fight.
Avoid what you can and it's okay if you can't,
Cause know matter what, you'll be all right.

***What a coincidence!

In an odd coincidence, the last two election cycles have seen a drastic, unexpected drop in the unemployment rate immediately before the election. And in 2012 and 2010, the unemployment rate increased the month or the next after the election. Just as big a coincidence, both 2014 and 2012 saw the drop come in September, but reported in October, the best time to report supposed good news on the economy.
This comes on the heels of this election cycle’s surprise news that the unemployment rate decreased .2% to 5.9%., a mere two months after the unemployment rose to 6.2%. For democrats, this is perfect timing for a party struggling to retain control of the Senate

Not too hard to figure out.

You gonna eat that?
