Shellacked

***Obama Shellacked in New Poll

Build on it, Republicans. Don't be afraid to hit your opponents, and hit them hard. All you need in your arsenal is the truth, because that's what devastates a liberal. We need a BIG wave in November to have any chance at all to take our country back.

***Psychopath: Harry Reid is made that Republicans didn't obstruct his bill. This guy is certifiable.

After all his complaints about Republican obstruction this year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed frustration last night after Republicans helped guarantee a floor vote on a measure he supports.
The Nevada Democrat has accused Senate Republicans of chicanery for voting to advance to the Senate floor a Democratic constitutional amendment allowing Congress to regulate all campaign speech and spending.
After Monday's bipartisan 79-18 vote, Reid vented to reporters that Republicans were trying to "stall" the Senate, indicating that he never intended for the campaign finance amendment by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., to go to a real floor debate.

Only HE is allowed to play political games, right? He's scared to death that people will actually discover that Democrats are all about controlling political speech.

***Alternative to Boy Scouts picks up 14,000 new members in first year. This is a shame. I mean, I'm glad the new club is doing well, I'm just sad that the Boy Scouts cowed to the Left and compromised its principles. My son is an Eagle Scout, and we're very proud of that. But...the organization has changed, unfortunately. If he were starting again today, I'd have him in Trail Life USA.

The adventure organization for boys formed in protest after the Boy Scouts of America eased its membership policies on gays in Scouting is growing “like wildfire” in its first full year, fueled by what organizers say is a hunger for a program that will help parents raise godly men.
Last September, the “unapologetically Christian” Trail Life USA unveiled its name, logo and other defining elements at a conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
The organization, which will mark its official anniversary Jan. 1, has 450 troops with more than 14,000 members in 47 states, said Mark Hancock, Trail Life USA chief executive officer.
Nearly 300 more troops are in the chartering process, he said, and we “have averaged 345 new members each week” over the past three weeks.

***This is nuts. This woman is camping out in front of Apple in order to get the new iPhone. Girl, you need a life.

Bonnie Carr, pictured above in the blue tent, is prepared to wait up to two weeks camped out in a tent in front of Apple’s U.K. flagship store on Regent Street in London to get her hands on the new iPhone 6. “Yes, I’ll wait up to two weeks. The earliest date for the release, I think, will be Friday. But I actually more think it’ll be Tuesday or Thursday next week,” she said Tuesday, some six hours ahead of Apple’s AAPL, +2.40% hotly anticipated event in Cupertino, Calif.

***Related: Put Down the Smartphone.

A new study from Baylor University this week found that college-age men and women spend 8-10 hours each day on their smartphones, respectively.
According to New York Magazine's coverage, 60 percent of study participants admitted that they "felt addicted" to their phones. If the amount of time spent staring at smartphones wasn't disturbing enough, there's also evidence to suggest that engaging with a screen affects people more than they realize. Here are some more reasons doctors and scientists say it's good to give the smartphone a rest.

Follow the link, interesting story. I don't have a Smartphone. I sit in front of a computer all day, I don't need one. Thank goodness, because the monthly fee borders on ridiculous.
