It's a Mystery

***I was listening to Rush while I ran to get some paper for my printer. There was a recent poll (CNN, so take it with a grain of salt) saying the Democrats are closing the gap. He said, "It's unbelievable. As much damage as they've done to the country, as much as they have failed in every way, how can they even have a chance?" I have to agree. I think part of the problem is our Republican leadership refuses to push back with any  more than a tepid response to the tyrannical practices of this president and his socialist Democrats in Congress. Mark Levin says it well here. We have to nominate a strong conservative in 2016, or we're history.

***Well, so what? Nothing scary going on in the world or anything. Obama has missed over half of his daily briefings in his 2nd term. Must be getting in the way of his tee times.

***Missouri boy battling terminal cancer scores touchdown in first game.

A six-year-old Missouri boy battling terminal cancer served as captain of a local football team last weekend, and scored a touchdown with the help of some teammates.
When he was just 3-years-old, doctors diagnosed Liam Myrick with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma. Since then, Liam has undergone 14 rounds of intravenous chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants, 20 rounds of radiation, six rounds of oral chemotherapy and nine major surgeries, Shawna Myrick, his mother, told FoxNews.com.
Mighty Mite coach Jerry Elliot called the Myrick family ahead of the game and said the team would like to honor Liam for the day if he was up for it. Liam, who watches football with his family and supports the local high school team, said yes.
Liam ran through the team banner and called the coin toss, but the highlight for the family was watching Liam score his first touchdown from the 15-yard line.
“It’s probably one of the coolest memories we’ve had,” Shawna said. “He’s our only boy, so for him to do something like this, it was very cool.”
Liam came off the field excited after reaching the end zone, but he needed medicine because he was in pain. Doctors haven’t given Liam very much time, and he doesn’t have as much energy as he used to.
“We’re just trying to make each day what we can at this point,” Shawna said, adding he has more bad times than good lately.

***Romney 2016 talk growing. One word - no. He's a good man and would have been infinitely better than Obama, but we need a Reagan conservative. We need a winner.

A New Ending

No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
There isn't promise of days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but can promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Don't stay on the bumps too long. Move on! When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight, and be happy.
There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, and the rest is up to the person to realize your worth. It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.
Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.
