Good Sunday

***It has been a good Sunday. Took my mom & aunt to church to hear a great, Bible-based sermon from Pastor James, enjoyed the music, then took them to lunch at Sunshine Cafe. Got them back home now, and after doing a little blogging I will be working for the rest of the day. That's okay, though, I'm happy to have the work, and I'm not terribly behind. Should be able to get it in pretty good shape today and start the week fresh.

***Harry Reid is at it again, trying to limit our First Amendment rights. This guy is definitely in the first stages of dementia.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., on Friday scheduled a Sept. 8 procedural vote on a constitutional amendment to limit the amount of money in politics, a shrewd measure designed to curb donations to conservative candidates.
Reid filed cloture on a motion to proceed with S.J. Res. 19, which seeks to undo the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United decision that ruled the federal government cannot restrict political contributions fromunions and corporations.

Time to call your senator. Scroll down a few pages for links to the numbers you'll need.

***Joe Biden's secret love: Skinny dipping. Ew.

Sorry to put that visual in your head.

***Centerville's Blue Regiment did great at State Fair Band Day yesterday! First in their class, swept all the captions, and 5th overall in the night show. Way to go!

***Judicial overreach cripples the Constitution. Of course it does. Elections matter - elect a liberal president, get liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me Too
from the book "Where the Sidewalk Ends" (1974)

By Shel Silverstein

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too
Went for a ride in a flying shoe.
"Hooray!"
"What fun!"
"It's time we flew!"
Said Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle was captain, and Pickle was crew
And Tickle served coffee and mulligan stew
As higher
And higher
And higher they flew,
Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too,
Over the sun and beyond the blue.
"Hold on!"
"Stay in!"
"I hope we do!"
Cried Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle too
Never returned to the world they knew,
And nobody
Knows what's
Happened to
Dear Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

***Entitlement mentality: Georgia teen says in lawsuit school should have offered in-home classes during her pregnancy.

Hey, here's a thought: Rather than expect your fellow Americans to pay for your mistakes, maybe you could just keep your knees together.
