Where's the Outrage?

***State agencies in New York collecting data on LGBT residents. Why aren't they crying foul? Apparently because they think they'll get something out of it. The Left's outrage is certainly selective, isn't it? Or, as in this case, completely moronic:

Those among us who were worried that we had finally reached Peak Nonsense were thrilled last week when a trailblazer named Tracy Van Slyke pioneered a newfangled extraction method and wrote up her findings in the Guardian. In one of the corners of silliness that had hitherto been unreachable to the rest of us, Van Slyke uncovered the contention that Thomas the Tank Engine was not a sweet and benign television show, beloved worldwide by parents and their offspring alike, but instead a dangerous source of “subversive messages” from which “children everywhere” must be “saved.”  Thomas and his friends, Van Slyke griped, “toil away endlessly on the Isle of Sodor — which seems to be forever caught in British colonial times”; they are overwhelmingly male, which sets “a bad example for girl wannabe train engineers”; and they are ruled by a fat, “imperious, little white” man called Sir Topham Hatt, who acts as the “Monopoly dictator of their funky little island.” All in all, she deduced, the program is a hive of “classism,” “sexism,” and “anti-environmentalism bordering on racism,” and “the constant bent of messages about friendship, work, class, gender and race” are all but guaranteed to send her “kid the absolute wrong message.” “Look through the steam rising up from the coal-powered train stacks,” Van Slyke opined, and you quickly “realize that the pretty puffs of smoke are concealing some pretty twisted, anachronistic messages.” Okay then.

Completely, utterly ridiculous.

***Cancer-stricken vet denied benefits, told to get a job. Why don't they tell the millions on public assistance to get a job? We all know the answer to that. Liberals have to keep those low information votes coming in. Veterans traditionally are more conservative. Pretty simple. What Obama and the Democrats have done and continue to do to this country infuriates and sickens me.

Ken Moore, a Vietnam veteran suffering from cancer who is unable to walk or speak, was denied disability benefits by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and to add insult to injury he was told via a letter to go get a job.

After receiving the jarring letter, Moore's wife, Judy, told WSMV TV in Nashville, "He read it and was like, 'This can't be real. It can't be happening. This is a nightmare.'"

***Michael Moore, aka Jabba the Hutt, owns nine homes. Yep, the guy who rails with the Democrats against the rich, who pretends to relate to the "98%", is filthy, stinking rich. It's easy to be a socialist when you're worth millions. Mr. Anti-Capitalist has certainly taken advantage of the country and the economic system he pretends to hate. You are a colossal hypocrite, Mr. Moore.

***The guy just can't win. Now Tony Dungy's fans are on him for making "politically correct" statements. Get over yourselves, people. He gave his opinion, something we used to be able to do in this country without being trashed.

***House backs permanent ban on internet access taxes. Good. But it'll never get through the Senate as long as the Democrats are in power.
