Tone Deaf

***It's really kind of amazing that the White House is stubbornly sticking to its story that "the border is more secure than it has ever been." Only a fool and/or a willingly blind, uninformed Obama sycophant believes that. But I repeat myself.

Obama loves to fudge the numbers, taking credit for a "sharp increase" in the number of border patrol agents, conveniently leaving out that Bush is responsible for most of them. The article is full of BS-uncovering, take the time to read it.

***D.C. Court of Appeals deals a harsh blow to Obamacare.  Right after that, another circuit court rules the opposite way. No, the country's not in a mess right now at all...

***Is the IRS changing its tune? Who can believe them?

***                  Perfect timing...

***Boehner: No border money without policy changes. Great idea, now STICK TO IT.

***Robots are the future of elder care? Hmmm...

Many older people need someone who is always there to help them with their everyday tasks, to listen to their stories, and to help them live independently — in other words, a robot caregiver, writes an associate professor of geriatrics in Sunday's New York Times.

"That may sound like an oxymoron," writes the University of California's Louise Aronson in her opinion piece. "In an ideal world, it would be: Each of us would have at least one kind and fully capable human caregiver to meet our physical and emotional needs as we age. But most of us do not live in an ideal world, and a reliable robot may be better than an unreliable or abusive person, or than no one at all."

As you travel along

-- By John Willis

As you travel along in your daily toil
Keep love in your heart - in your eyes a smile.
Give a word of cheer to those who are blue;
A warm handclasp will help some, too;
A wave of the hand, a cheery "Good Day"
To those you may meet or pass by the way...
As you travel along.

Start in the day with a word of prayer,
As the birds trill notes to the morning air.
Let your prayer be to God, like their songs to Heaven,
Thankful for life and the blessings given;
Thinking those thoughts that are right and good,
Doing those deals that you feel you should...
As you travel along.

Then, When your day shall come to a close,
Just pause for awhile ere you seek repose,
Think back through your day, and the deeds that were done
Of the trails met, and the victories won.
And as you close eyes in peaceful sleep,
Pray God in His love your soul to keep...
As you travel along.
set up boat at sunset

***              Believe it or not, that's a rabbit...
