If a soldier who volunteered to serve in the military rapes or murders someone while in uniform, has he served honorably? Has Bradley Manning, who voluntarily joined the military and then betrayed his country by turning over hundreds of thousands of documents to WikiLeaks, served honorably? Did Benedict Arnold, another volunteer, serve with “honor and distinction”?
According to the logic of our national-security adviser, Susan Rice, they all did. Merely because they volunteered in the first place. Lieutenant Calley of My Lai Massacre fame? “Honor and distinction.”

***Speaking of aggressively stupid, Hillary Clinton says that "rich people...do not contribute to the growth of their own countries." Right. It's the poor people providing the jobs and opportunities.
She speaks as though the term "rich" does not apply to her:
Hillary Clinton and her husband have made millions on the speaking circuit since leaving the White House in 2000, but she explained to Diane Sawyer that they did it only to “pay off the debts and get us houses and take care of family members.” The former secretary of state also lamented the burden high taxes put on the family’s effort to pay off the debts.
“We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt,” she said in an interview set to air on ABC World News on Monday night. “We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to piece together the resources for mortgages for houses, for Chelsea’s education — it was not easy.”
This woman couldn't tell the truth if her life depended on it.
***Obama is dumping illegal immigrants in Arizona, with awful conditions for the children. Where are the oh-so-compassionate liberals?
***Michigan 14-year-old completes 40 mile trek while carrying brother on back. Wow.
A Michigan teenager who wanted to raise awareness about cerebral palsy by walking 40 miles with his younger brother strapped to his back battled heat, rain, fatigue and more to finish the trek Sunday.
Hunter Gandee, 14, had been planning for weeks to pull off the walk, hoping to put a face on the muscular disorder that prevents his 7-year-old sibling, Braden, from being able to walk without help. But all his organizing couldn't prepare him for the conditions he faced as he packed the 50-pound boy over two days.
Gotta admire that kid.
***LeAnn Rimes: "I try to wear the least amount of clothes possible." Real classy, honey. Your mom must be so proud.
***Rick Santorum to march with the National Organization for Marriage. Good for him. We have to stand up to the people who are tearing our culture apart.
***The American Church has a choice to make. Indeed it does. We either believe the Scriptures as written, or we don't. We can't "go along to get along." Compromise is never the answer when it comes to Biblical truth.
