Dear Tolerant, Enlightened Left

***This is sickening. Here's the new fascism:

Another day, another witch hunt — this time in duplicate. “Twin brothers David and Jason Benham,” CNN reports, “have lost their opportunity to host their own HGTV show.” On Tuesday, the pair was gearing up for their new role; by sundown the next day, the network had announced tersely that it had “decided not to move forward with the Benham Brothers’ series.” And that, as they say, was that.
HGTV’s mind was allegedly changed by a post on the blog Right Wing Watch, where the duo was described as being “anti-gay” and “anti-choice.” That post, David Benham told Erin Burnett yesterday, “was too much for them to bear — they had to make a business decision.” How sad. Certainly, the Benhams hold some heterodox views. They are not merely opposed to abortion and gay marriage, but critical of divorce, adultery, Islam, pornography, “perversion,” the “demonic ideologies” that have crept into the nation’s “universities and . . . public school systems,” and the general culture of “activist” homosexuality, which, David contends, is inextricably tied up with a wider “agenda that is attacking the nation.” But so bloody what? They were tapped to host a home-improvement show, not rewrite the Constitution.

Dear liberal, please don't ever tell us how tolerant you are, how you embrace all points of view and all walks of life. That is the biggest lie ever told. You are tolerant only of those just like you. The CEO of Firefox gives $1000 to uphold the tradition of marriage. You hound the powers that be until he resigned rather than put up with any more of your crap. There is no one more intolerant, more hypocritical, more despicable than a liberal.

***This'll have to be another quick one - everybody's coming here for dinner tomorrow, and I am SO not ready. Mark and Johnathan have been working on the yard and the house, thank God for them! I still have a lot to do, though. I have to get some more transcription done, then work on the house a bit more. One of these days I'll learn to relax when company's coming...but that day hasn't yet arrived.

***Democrats threaten American dream.

Reaffirming his national political ambitions, Sen. Marco Rubio accused Democrats on Friday of threatening the American dream as he campaigned across New Hampshire, appearing in the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state for the first time in 18 months.
The Florida Republican also jabbed at former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, considered the overwhelming favorite to win the next Democratic presidential nomination if she chooses to run, in a speech to hundreds of Republicans gathered in New Castle, along New Hampshire's seacoast.
"They're threatening to nominate someone now who wants to take us to the past — to an era that's gone and never coming back," Rubio, 43, told the Rockingham County Republican Committee, referring to Clinton. "The road we're on right now is a road that will rob us of the American dream."

Nintendo is apologizing and pledging to be more inclusive after being criticized for not recognizing same-sex relationships in English editions of a life-simulator video game. The publisher said that while it was too late to change the current game, it was committed to building virtual equality into future versions.
Nintendo came under fire from fans and gay rights organizations this past week after refusing to add same-sex relationship options to the game "Tomodachi Life."
"We apologize for disappointing many people by failing to include same-sex relationships in Tomodachi Life," Nintendo said in a statement released Friday. "Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to change this game's design, and such a significant development change can't be accomplished with a post-ship patch."

(rolling eyes) Beam me up, Scotty...
