Right on Cue

***Now Lois Lerner is claiming that she has had threats on her life if she testifies. Wow, she must really know some damning stuff. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if Obama had her eliminated. I mean that.

Lois Lerner fears for her life if she testifies openly before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Wednesday, according to her attorney.
House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa announced Sunday that Lerner will testify at Wednesday’s hearing, but Lerner’s attorney Bill Taylor said that Lerner will seek to continue invoking her Fifth Amendment rights and will also seek a one-week delay of her testimony.

***That's tellin' 'em, Barack! Obama wants Ukraine to "deesclate." Dangit, they're getting in the way of his fundraising...

***Democrat meltdown at hearing. Elijah Cummings is a total ass. Watch this, if you can stand it.

The Obama White House is learning the hard way that presidential power requires something more substantial than an eternal marketing campaign and an endless spin-cycle, because no matter what a utopian president thinks the world should be like, the reality is this: in human life, peace is a transient thing, and in geopolitics, it is more often than not an illusion that quickly reveals itself as one. If Europe has been “at peace” these last 60 years, it’s a profound aberration in the scheme of history.

***Remember when "dissent was the highest form of patriotism?" Well, that only works if a Republican is in power.

But never mind that. Explain to me how criticizing O for not being more aggressive in punishing Putin “undermines” him in any way. Some hawks used to accuse doves of undermining the Iraq war on the theory that the more dovish the public became, the greater the pressure there’d be on Bush to pull the troops out before the U.S. had accomplished its goals. Which strategy is being “undermined” in this case, though, by accusing O of not standing up to Putin? War-weary Americans may dismiss O as weak but they’re not going to demand a confrontation with Putin just because the GOP’s unhappy. And foreign leaders already have ample reason to distrust Obama independent of Republican grumbling, from abandoning longtime U.S. ally Mubarak in 2011 to the Syria “red line” fiasco last year. If anything, Obama’s Republican critics want to give him more options to confront Putin, starting with the sanctions they’ll be voting for next week. That’s a strange definition of “undermining.”

***Can you believe this entitled brat? She sued her mom & dad for her private school and college expenses, after she moved out because she didn't want to follow their rules. Thank God there are still a few judges around with some brains, he threw this out.

***This seems to happen a lot. Transgender teen recants story he/she/it told about being beaten and sexually assaulted. What, changing your sex didn't get you enough attention?

A transgender teenager who said he was beaten and sexually assaulted in a California school bathroom recanted the story, police said Tuesday.
The 15-year-old student at Hercules Middle/High School "admitted he fabricated the whole story" during an interview with a detective, Hercules police Detective Connie Van Putten said.
The teen, who is biologically female but identifies as male, had told officers he was leaving a boy's bathroom Monday morning when three other boys pushed him inside a large stall and attacked him.
Officers took his statement and opened an investigation that included a sexual assault examination. But officers could not substantiate the facts of the statement, and the boy lacked any physical injuries to his head, face and hands, police said.

***Dirty Harry Reid goes around the bend. If you ask me, he has been there for a while.

Harry Reid delivered another salvo against the Koch brothers on the floor of the Senate today. On reading it, the reaction of any normal person would be that he has gone off his meds. That a Senate Majority Leader should indulge such crazed vituperation against a couple of private citizens, on the floor of the Senate, dramatizes how low our democracy has fallen.
