Here Comes 2013

***I would really, really like to be optimistic about the upcoming year, and on a personal level I am. I have a wonderful family, friends, and I'm a Christian. As for my country and her future? Not so much. I see the dishonesty in our president and so many of the people we have sent to Washington to represent us that it's hard to be optimistic about America's future.  Did you know Harry Reid said the House was being led by a "dictator?" Harry Reid, whose Senate has unlawfully failed to pass a budget for over 1300 days now? Harry Reid, who will not allow a vote on anything presented by the minority? Yes, that Harry Reid, the despicable, hypocritical little toad who is the majority leader in the Senate. It's people like him who make me afraid for America's future. The genius of the Founders and their system of checks and balances is the only thing keeping us afloat, but this president sees fit to flout their foresight and do as he darn well pleases. I can't think of anything positive he has done since his first inauguration, so here's another thing that makes me fear for America's future:

***Here's another thing that bugs me, the following these two have:

Kim Kardashian pregnant with Kanye West's Baby

Oh, isn't that wonderful news. She'll make SUCH a good mommy...(I hope my sarcasm is coming through...)

***Wanna see another thing that will keep you awake at night?

According to a USA Today/Gallup poll, Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama are the most admired man and woman in the world.

Just goes to show dishonesty and deceit pay off.

***Trying to remember this...

"Every day is not a good day, but there is good in every day."

I'm sorry to be down today. Yesterday was tough, my aunt passed away. I know she's in heaven, she was a strong Christian woman, I'm just concerned about Mom. Since October she has lost two sisters and had a TIA. On a better note, my brother married his longtime partner last evening. We all love her, and she's a welcome addition to our family.

Get A Transfer
Poet: Unknown

If you are on the Gloomy Line,
Get a transfer.
If you're inclined to fret and pine,
Get a transfer.
Get off the track of doubt and gloom,
Get on the Sunshine Track -there's room-
Get a transfer.

If you're on the Worry Train,
Get a transfer.
You must not stay there and complain,
Get a transfer.
The Cheerful Cars are passing through,
And there's lots of room for you-
Get a transfer.

If you're on the Grouchy Track,
Get a transfer.
Just take a Happy Special back,
Get a transfer.
Jump on the train and pull the rope,
That lands you at the station of Hope-
Get a transfer.

*** Mother of the Year:

Promise yourself

To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear; and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words, but in great deeds.

To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

C.D. Larson
'Your Forces and How to Use Them'

***“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence. It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.” — Samuel Adams

***Have a great day!
