We Can't Keep This Up

***Thank you, economically illiterate Obama voter:

Foodstamps soar by most in 16 months.

And we thought last month's delayed foodstamp data was bad. The just reported foodstamp number for September was a doozy, with 607,544 new Americans becoming eligible for foodstamps, as a record 47.7 million Americans are now living in poverty at least according to the USDA. The monthly increase was the highest since May 2011, and with August's 421K new impoverished America, over 1 million Americans made the EBT card their new best friend.

Oh, and don't forget the disability numbers:

This month, the number of Americans collecting disability benefits from the Social Security Administration rose to a new record of 8,803,335, government data show (for more, click here.) That's up from the previous record of 8,786,049 set in September, and is up nearly 20% since February 2009, the second month of President Barack Obama’s term in office.

There's a problem with the takers outnumber the makers. Don't ever forget that this is EXACTLY what the Democrats want.

***China goes shopping in U.S.  Too bad our crappy press won't report it.

***Had a good weekend. Went Christmas shopping with Emily, Johnny, and Hope Saturday and had a great time! Still have a little to do, but I'm getting there. Yesterday after church I got some work done, then I went to Mom's and hauled her tree up from the basement and helped her decorate it. After that we went to Warm Glow Candle Factory. I love that place! Got a little more shopping done there. I actually got quite a bit of work done over the weekend, too. Not much relaxing going on, obviously.

An enriching action

A smile costs nothing, but gives much.
It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that they can get along without it, and none is so poor, that they can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen - for it is something that is of no value to anyone, until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours, as no one needs a smile so much as those who have no more to give.
