Plan B Fails

***Boehner couldn't get enough votes from the Republicans to pass Plan B. I honestly can see both sides of that argument, as much as I hate sounding like a squish. I also hate to be a Debbie Downer, but it really doesn't matter what the Republicans do as far as the media is concerned. They will be blamed, and our hideous president will come out smelling like a rose. The Republicans just need to do what's right for the country, and stop worrying what the press will say. We KNOW what they will say.

***Now THIS is sad:

RUSH: You gotta hear this.  Richard Stengel.  You thought it was gonna be your story on the castration guy, right?  That's coming up.  You gotta hear this.  Richard Stengel, the TIME Magazine guy, the editor.  You know, yesterday he was on Today show, announced Obama as the Person of the Year. He said the reason why they named Obama Person of the of Year is because the no-information voters love the guy.  They're transforming America.  They actually said this. TIME magazine said it's remarkable he's worth being Person of the Year, 'cause he's the guy that ended up being able, the first politician to get votes from people who don't care about anything and who aren't paying attention.  That is worth honoring in 2012, almost 2013 America.

In other words - uninformed, unmotivated, "gimme" voters now have sufficient numbers to foist socialism on the rest of this, and they don't even know they're doing it. The DUH generation. The people who find the Kardashians interesting. Yeah, those people. Scary thought, no?

***Appeals Court rules against Hobby Lobby on contraception. And the Left tries to tell us we're not losing our religious liberty.  Wake up, people.

A U.S. federal appeals court on Thursday rejected a claim by an arts and crafts chain that wants to be exempted from a requirement to provide emergency contraceptives to employees because it violates the religious principles of its owners.
The U.S. Court of Appeals in Denver ruled against family-owned Hobby Lobby's assertion that the religious beliefs of its owners should relieve them from providing the "morning after" and "week after" pills to their employees, as required under President Barack Obama's signature health care reforms.
Hobby Lobby vowed to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
"The Green family is disappointed with this ruling," said Kyle Duncan, general counsel for the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which is assisting Hobby Lobby in the legal case. "The Greens will continue to make their case on appeal that this unconstitutional mandate infringes their right to earn a living while remaining true to their faith."

***Worst pageant answer ever? This gal would make a great politician.

Miss Venezuela Irene Sofia Esser Quintero was asked a very simple question on Wednesday night's Miss Universe telecast, and in her native Spanish no less.
She chose to answer in English. And that may have been her big mistake.
Judge Diego Boneta asked: "If you could make a new law, what would it be?"
Quintero answered thusly:
"I think that any leys there are in Constitution or in life, are already made. I think that we should have, uh, a straight way to go in our similar, or, eh, in our lives as is this. For example, I'm a surfer, and I think that the best wave that I can take is the wave that I wait for it. So please do our only, eh, law that we can do. Thank you Vegas!"

***Can't wait to see "Les Miserables." Have you ever heard Hugh Jackman sing? He's awesome!

***Reid on the fiscal cliff: "We're not going to do anything." Real leadership there.
