Keeping the Lid On

***Yes, I'm going to harp on it again. The national media's coverup of the tragedy in Benghazi to try to save Obama's sorry butt infuriates me, as it should you. They're trying to keep the lid on until Tuesday, then all of a sudden they'll be all responsible and informative. This is sickening, and it's a national disgrace...just as Obama and his cronies are. If you vote for him, I have to wonder about your mental health. Really.

***Democrat Bob Menendez is caught up in a sex scandal. Heck, that's a resume enhancement for a Democrat. Certainly won't get the coverage that Richard Mourdock's comment got, and they had to twist that to make it a scandal. Geez, I can't stand liberals...

***Seen THIS anywhere other than Fox News?

Classified cable sent to Hillary Clinton's office less than a month before deadly attack warned Benghazi consulate could not be defended against 'coordinated attack,' and that Al Qaeda had training camps nearby.

***Something to keep in mind - from Focus on the Family:

In Philippians 4:13 the apostle Paul writes, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." But what does that mean? Here at Focus on the Family, our counselors often hear from believers who have become disillusioned in their faith when they feel God isn't blessing them despite their earnest attempts to serve Him.

In the context of the entirety of Philippians 4, Paul says that our experience of either want or satisfaction is ultimately an internal rather than an external reality. It has less to do with one's material circumstances than with a certain mental and spiritual attitude. The secret, he explains in verse 11, is contentment, a word which, in the original language, denotes something like "self-sufficiency." It's the ability to "make do" in all kinds of situations. His point is that when we have Christ, we have everything. It doesn't matter if we're rich or poor, successful or defeated, naked or clothed, homeless or sheltered.

***NYC subways reopen. That's really amazing, considering the damage. Way to go, guys.

***Planned layoffs jump in October. Say, how's that hope 'n change workin' out?

***The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up.  ~Mark Twain

***Have a great day!
