One Day at a Time

***Mom is better. She's going to have to stay in the hospital until Tuesday, probably, because the doctor wants a couple of tests that they don't do on the weekends in non-emergencies.  I have to take her meds and dosages in today. I like to be there when the doctor's there to hear what he has to say, and also because he's from India and I can understand him, mom has a little trouble. He's considerate and speaks slowly, but he still has an accent. Mom's nearly back to her old self, except she's a bit weak. She still has to reach for some words, but she can usually find them now whereas Friday she couldn't.

Romans 8:38-39

King James Version (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A college drama group presented a play in which one character would stand on a trapdoor and announce, "I descend into hell!" A stagehand below would then pull a rope, the trapdoor would open, and the character would plunge through.
The play was well received. But, when the actor playing the part became ill, another actor who was quite overweight took his place. When the new actor announced, "I descend into hell!" the stagehand pulled the rope, and the actor began his plunge... but he became hopelessly stuck. No amount of tugging on the rope could make him descend.
Then one student in the balcony jumped up and yelled, "Hallelujah! Hell is full!"

***Do black people support Obama because he's black? Pretty much. It's not like he's done anything for them.

"It goes both ways," said Gary, who is white. "There is racial bias amongst whites, and there is racial bias amongst blacks. But as far as the press is concerned, it only goes one way."

Yup.

***No. Sheesh.

***Can you believe this? Here's the latest White House spin: Obama and Biden were never made aware of requests for more Benghazi security.

The scary thing is, their lemming supporters will swallow this hook, line, and sinker.

***Robert Murdoch: "Nightmare for Israel" if Obama wins. No doubt. Yet the majority of Jews in this country will vote for him. I'll never figure that out.

***Have a great day!
