"You know no one in the convention so far has had the temerity to say that people are better off in America because they realize that’s not the case," Romney said. "The convention so far is a celebration of failure."
Romney cited record numbers of Americans on food stamps, a rising national debt and declining incomes as evidence of a failed presidency.
Absolutely right. They cannot highlight Obama's record, so they have to attack Republicans. Incessantly and dishonestly, I might add.
In a predictable bit of political posturing, they did put God and Jerusalem back into their platform, but only after public outcry made them do it.
***"Vote Black" buttons? Who are the racist ones, again? Imagine if there were "Vote White" buttons.
***Food stamp enrollment at an all-time high. This is crazy, and unsustainable -- and exactly what the Democrats want.
***Clinton says Obama must be re-elected for economic growth. Uh, yeah. He also takes credit for budget surpluses in the 90s, conveniently forgetting that they never would have happened with a Democrat Congress. During the last six years of his presidency, there was a Republican majority in the Senate and the House. THAT is why things got done. However, like the current occupant of the White House, Clinton is a hopeless narcissist.
***Ouch. Monica Lewinsky's rabbi gave benediction - after Clinton's speech.
***The crazy things runway models do to get down to a size 0. This is nuts.
“Packs of cigarettes, daily colonics, laxatives, Phentermine diet pills, Adderal, prescription drugs that suppress the appetite," top fashion model Kira Dikhtyar listed for us. "I’ve heard stories that some modeling agents encourage girls to speed and cocaine in order to speed up metabolism and eat less. And all kinds of injections are becoming more and more popular, from HCG injections that go with a 500-calorie diet plan to T3 thyroid injections that healthy models inject in an attempt to speed up their thyroid function, which results in a faster metabolism."
