Abnormal

***Got up at 2:30 this morning. So much going on today and tomorrow, and such a pile of work to do! I have a doctor's appointment this morning, and mom has one this afternoon. I like to go with her as she has trouble understanding her new doctor. He's from India, but I think he speaks very clearly. Of course, I've done his transcription for about 10 years, that might have something to do with it. Anyway, I like to be with her so I can help her follow his instructions. Gonna be a loooong day.

***Journo-lism: Politico rushes to protect their boy. And the rest of the media follows suit:

ABC, NBC, CBS devote more time to Romney flap (20 to 1) than Obama's Mideast blunders. This would be comical if it wasn't so sad.

***Rush: We're witnessing two institutions disintegrate right before our eyes.

We're watching the disintegration of two institutions right in front of our eyes, and we're all wondering, are we the only ones who see it?  We're watching the disintegration of a presidency.  We are looking at blatant, uncompromised incompetence.  And we are witnessing corruption of another institution, the so-called mainstream media.  They continue to descend into depths they're not even aware of.

If you haven't heard it yet, here's the link to the "hot mic" incident where "journalists" were coordinating the theme for the Romney press conference. They didn't care what he said, they just cared how they were going to make it sound.

***And...here's Mrs. Clinton apologizing for free speech to the terrorist community. This is just...words fail me.

And the hair...oh my gosh, the hair...

***Hmmm...apparently the U.S. was warned about impending attack, but did nothing. Oh, where is the liberal blogosphere? Where are the conspiracy idiots who still believe Bush knew 9-11 was going to happen? Here is some real evidence, and all we hear from the Left is...Romney shouldn't have said that!

***Big Brother: NYC Board of Health passes big soda ban. If this isn't the dumbest thing...

New York City's health board has passed a rule banning super-sized, sugary drinks at restaurants, concession stands and other eateries.
The regulation passed Thursday puts a 16-ounce size limit on cups and bottles of non-diet soda, sweetened teas and other calorie-packed beverages.
The ban will apply in fast-food joints, movie houses and Broadway theaters, workplace cafeterias and most other places selling prepared food.

Wow.

***On day following Libya assassinations, Obama skips another Intel briefing. Unbelievable. Must have had another fundraiser to attend.

God's Coffee
-- Author unknown

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite -- telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups."

"Now consider this," he continued... "Life is the coffee. The jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups... Enjoy your coffee!
