The Big Day

***Yep, today's the tax deadline. We got the bad news from our accountant last night - but we knew it was coming. Always does. Partly our fault, we don't hold out enough and since we're self employed, it's up to us. Always someplace else for the money to go, y'know? We seem to have a target on our backs, though, being self employed. The self employment tax really irks me. JUST because we're self employed, we're slapped with over $2000.00 right off the bat.

***Reuters "all of a sudden" finds proof of bandages on George Zimmerman the day after he shot Trayvon Martin. Hey, they got their narrative out there and basically have ruined the man's life. NOW they start with a little honest reporting?

***More proof that our media sucks: Washington Post admits they tried to bury the story about how ObamaCare is going to blow up the deficit.

Washington Post columnist Patrick Pexton made a rather startling admission in the paper’s Sunday edition: The Post never meant for their recent story about how President Obama’s health care law expands the budget deficit to become a viral Internet sensation. In fact, they deliberately tried to bury the story.

***Senate GOP blocks "Buffett Rule" tax. Good for them.  This is why we sent you there, guys. Keep it up.

***Vietnam war hero to receive posthumous Medal of Honor.

***Man killed during initiation at Masonic Lodge.  This is freaky. There's got to be more to this than meets the eye. How could anyone not check and quadruple check what the gun was loaded with? Weird initiation, too.

***Unusual, weird, strange wedding dresses

Now this one's just plain wrong...

***Scott Walker talks policy, Democrats talk Hooters.

His campaign created ads critical of both Barrett and Falk (although he reportedly has only begun airing the anti-Barrett ads), and his staff has unearthed favorable educational data that the teachers union had tried to hide from the public. Furthermore, a report issued by Walkers administration showed that due to his package of government-employee reforms, property taxes in the state have decreased for the first time in twelve years.

The bottom line:

One of the reasons the Democrats wanted to try to recall Walker rather than merely running against him in 2014 is that the more Wisconsin residents see the results of Walker’s policies, the better they will like them.

His policies are working, and they have to get him out of there before too many more people realize that. Liberals really are hideous creatures.

***Here is our Secretary of State. Aren't you proud?

And the Left called Bush an "embarrassment."

***The world's oldest supermodel. She's 83!

When there's a single thief, it's robbery.  When there are a thousand thieves, it's taxation.  ~Vanya Cohen

Taxation with representation ain't so hot either.  ~Gerald Barzan

Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars and a substantial tax cut save you thirty cents?  ~Peg Bracken

The nation should have a tax system that looks like someone designed it on purpose.  ~William Simon

***Have a great day!
