***Obama's team is worried about his re-election chances. They should be. I can only think of one good thing he's done since he's been in office - giving the order to kill bin Laden. Other than that, everything he has touched has turned sour.
***Still think the protesters really cared about "the children?" Look at what Scott Walker's actions have already produced:
Cost savings from worker contributions to health care and retirement, taking effect today as part of the new collective bargaining laws, will swing the Kaukauna School District from a $400,000 budget deficit to an estimated $1.5 million surplus.... The district... plans to hire teachers and reduce class size.
This was never about education. This was about union power, pure and simple. And most of the teachers were too dumb to realize it. And...they're teaching our children.
***Eek. Parasitic worms may offer hope for MS patients.
***This is what integrity looks like.
Earlier this month Robert Adams from Arlington Heights, Illinois was waiting to us an ATM machine when he discovered something you don’t often see: a clear plastic bag containing $20 and $100 bills resting beside the machine. He later learned that the sack contained a total of $17,000.
Following some research and a trip to a local Chase bank, it was determined that the bag belonged to the Loomis armored truck company.
Mr. Adams says he was never tempted to keep the lost treasure. “I don't care if you put another zero on there, I wasn't raised to take money that isn't mine” he said.
***It pays to be a friend of the Obamas - doesn't matter if you're a crook.
***I'm reading "Decision Points" by George W. Bush, and it's really good. Make it your next read!
***I like Power Line's new look, check it out!

***Obama's going back into the old class warfare mode - geez, Democrats are pathetic.
Kids versus corporate jets.
If President Obama's news conference accomplished anything on Wednesday afternoon, it underscored, in striking tones, his strategy for winning the debt ceiling fight with Republicans: Make it a clash of classes.
In Obama's world, Democrats are for kids and Republicans are for corporate jets. That is a sharp distinction that could help put the GOP on defensive, but it may not be enough to persuade Republicans to change their posture on the debt-ceiling talks.
- Rich versus Poor.
- Us versus Them.
- Those who support children, food safety, medical research and, presumably, puppies and apple pie versus the rich fat cats who don't.
They never change their playbook, and they never come up with any new ideas. Worse, they have nothing but disdain for anyone who DOES come up with a new idea.
***This is a bit hard to believe. Was John Lennon a closet Republican?
***Only Obama would refer to a constitutional argument about his war in Libya as "noise." Gosh, WHERE are all the liberals who were screaming about George W. Bush and the War on Terror? It's mighty quiet on the Left...
Customer: “Is the chicken caesar sandwich vegetarian?”
Me: “No, ma’am. It has chicken in it. But we can substitute tofu if you’d like.”
Customer: “I don’t want tofu. Don’t you have any vegetarian meat?”
Me: “Vegetarian means no meat, ma’am. Would you like a non-vegetarian option?”
Customer: “No, I’m a vegetarian. Your menu says you have vegetarian options.”
Me: “We do have vegetarian options. Anything can be made without meat.”
Customer: “Why don’t you have any vegetarian meat?”
Me: “Are you sure you’re a vegetarian, ma’am?”

A New EndingNo one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
There isn't promise of days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but can promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards. Don't stay on the bumps too long. Move on! When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight, and be happy.
There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard. You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, and the rest is up to the person to realize your worth. It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride. We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.
Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.
*** Small business comebacks. It is the small business owners who are going to help turn this economy around. That's usually the case, historically. We just need the government to get the heck out of the way, which ain't gonna happen to any serious degree as long as there are Democrats in charge.
***"Those who have been once intoxicated with power and have derived any kind of emolument from it can never willingly abandon it." -- Edmund Burke
