Yet Another Gorgeous Weekend!

***We have had the most glorious fall weather this year. Mom & I had a great time yard saling yesterday - and of course we came away with some treasures we just absolutely couldn't do without!

***World's first spaceport opens in New Mexico. Okay, let's put all the liberals on board and send 'em...

***This is a great story - the moderator at a League of Women Voters event, at a high school, no less, wanted to prohibit the Pledge of Allegiance being said. She said they never did that. One by one, the veterans and others in the audience stood up and together recited the pledge. Her response? They "disrespected her." Yeah, and you deserved it, honey.

***Meathead Rob Reiner is the latest to compare Tea Partiers to Hitler. What buffoons these Hollywood types be!

***Love this cartoon:

Check out The Cartel. The teachers unions hate this one.

***What should a Republican majority do? David Limbaugh has some ideas. I'm going to wait until after the election before I start celebrating - things look good, but I wouldn't put anything past the Democrats. We have to watch them very closely or they'll steal what they can't win, if there is any way possible.

***George W. Bush spoke in Chicago recently. What a classy guy. What a *difference* from what we have now. Notice he says his biggest failure in office was not passing Social Security reform. See what's missing? He didn't blame Congress, he didn't blame his predecessor, he didn't blame anyone else. Quite a change from what we hear now day after day.

***Okay, why do they make Catholic Archbishops wear these weird hats??

I know there is probably a reason, but sheesh.

***Mike Pence says no compromises if GOP wins house. Stick to it, guys & gals. We need to STOP Obama in his tracks.

***When an American says that he loves his country, he means not only that he loves the New England hills, the prairies glistening in the sun, the wide and rising plains, the great mountains, and the sea.  He means that he loves an inner air, an inner light in which freedom lives and in which a man can draw the breath of self-respect.  ~Adlai Stevenson

***Have a great day!
