Wacko Weiner

***If you haven't seen this yet, check it out. This is a U.S. Congressman, people. A Democrat throwing a fit on the floor of the House of Representatives. They are losing it...well, this one lost it a long time ago.

***Here is a great example of media bias. There are so many examples to choose from...

***Sen. Patrick Leahy is a disgrace. He is refusing to investigate the Black Panther case, which could not be a clearer case of voter intimidation. Vermont, why do you keep sending this idiot back to Washington? Wonder if his response would be the same if it were Republicans blocking Lefties from the polls? Why, he would be outraged!

***That's the name of Jay Nordlinger's weekly column over at NRO. He's witty, and there's always some good information in his column, like this:

I’ve mentioned this before — I think on the Corner. I think it’s weird that Vice President Biden refers to President Obama as “Barack” in public. He has done it again: “Barack and I are realists,” he said. When I brought this up with some colleagues the other day, Rick Brookhiser said, “Can you imagine Nixon referring to Eisenhower as ‘Dwight’?” Or “Ike”! I believe that Cheney, in private, called W. “sir.” And, in public, it was always “the president,” or “President Bush,” of course.
Is Biden’s use of “Barack” a little — condescending? Patronizing? Is he merely trying to show intimacy? Is he just kind of clownish, or “out there”?
Let’s scroll through history a little. Can you imagine GHWB referring to Reagan as “Ronnie”? How about Garner, Wallace, and Truman? Would they have referred to the president as “Franklin” — or “Frank”? The mind reels!
I vote for "clownish." And he's definitely "out there."

***You have the right to look ridiculous. I have to agree with this judge. Teenagers wearing their pants so low that they expose their underwear look completely stupid, but it shouldn't be against the law. I've about wrecked my car laughing at some idiot swaggering across the street, holding his pants up with one hand, thinking he looks SO cool, on more than one occasion. But again, stupidity and poor taste are not against the law.

Pure Politics

***The Obama Administration is going to get its way; legally, illegally, deceitfully, he doesn't care. The man is so arrogant that he doesn't believe he can possibly be wrong. This decision by Judge Bolton regarding the Arizona law is so clearly political it's sickening. Any question about what Obama thinks of the will of the American people and the rule of law should be clearly answered for most people now.

Road Trip!

***Hi everyone! Gotta get my stuff done 'cause we're going to Columbus to see Emily & Peter this evening. I can't wait to see their apartment. They're making dinner, so that's an added bonus.

***How to bankrupt a country in three easy steps. How's that hope & change working out, Obamabots?

Thanks a lot, Mr. President.  And thanks to you, too, Secretary Geithner. You inherited the richest, most productive country in history. And you have set it firmly on course for economic stagnation.

No Big Deal

***It's Monday! Since my work week never stops, I don't dread Mondays like many people do.

***These people will never get it. Check out Maureen Dowd's latest column. Granted, when you see her name you expect something snarky, liberal, and completely meaningless. But this one takes the cake. She says Obama's White House is "too white." Read the column, you won't see any qualifications she's looking for other than skin color. Skin color is the last thing that should matter, but liberals, who are quick to call other people "racist," look for color first, everything else next.

Good Time!

***Had a great evening with family last night. We got to meet my nephew's future mother-in-law, and she's great! What a friendly, fun person. It's easy to see where Anne gets her bubbly personality. I grilled out steaks and skewered shrimp with garlic butter.

***Of course the minimum wage hurts the job market for teenagers. It isn't about them, providing jobs, or making anyone's life better. It's about political power and control. The government shouldn't be telling private business how to run their business. can't tell a Democrat that the government shouldn't be in charge of something, because they're all about government intervention into every aspect of our lives.

***Who's bringing race into THIS race?

***I like it!

***The "I" word - Washington Times Op-Ed.

For the first time in American history, we have a man in the White House who consciously and brazenly disregards his oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution. That's why I say the greatest threat to our Constitution, our safety and our liberties, is internal. Our president is an enemy of our Constitution, and, as such, he is a danger to our safety, our security and our personal freedoms.

I have to agree. Impeachment isn't going to happen, though, with the current crop of complicit dunderheads in the House & Senate now. There has to be a major upheaval in November.

***Check out this picture of a whale leaping out of the water and crushing a sailboat. Sheesh!

***Ann Coulter nails it again:

The Democrats are depressed about their collapsing poll numbers, so it's time to start calling conservatives "racist."
 Further down in the column:

As we now know from the Journolist list-serv, where hundreds of liberal journalists chat with one another, and which was leaked to Daily Caller this week, journalists cry "racism" whenever they need to distract from bad news for Obama. (Ironically, this story did not make headlines.)

When the Rev. Jeremiah Wright scandal broke during the 2008 campaign, the first response of Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent was to demand that they start randomly picking conservatives -- "Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares -- and call them racists."

Lovely people, aren't they? They refuse to actually debate the issues. Disagree with them, and their response is ad hominem and character destruction. They know that most Americans don't buy the liberal line, so they have to spin it. Liberal politicians have to run as centrists in order to get elected. Do you think Obama would have been elected if he had been truthful about what he really believes? Now that America is seeing what he's really about, his numbers are plummeting. Hopefully the damage can be repaired once we elect a conservative majority (hopefully). It is going to take a while, though. And we have to fight idiots like the ones mentioned in Coulter's article, wasting time that would be better spent concentrating on America's problems.

Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream:
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision or in none,
Is it therefore the less _gone_?
_All_ that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.

I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
_One_ from the pitiless wave?
Is _all_ that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

In telling lie after lie, week after week, many lost their honor and blackened their reputations.

He says they should have fought back harder when the Democrats came up with their accusations that Bush lied about WMDs to get us into a war. Unbelievable? Not Really

***This Black Panther case gets more infuriating, and damning to the Obama Dept. of Justice, every day. Here is a great wrapup over at NRO. They are now, no kidding, trying to blame the Bush Administration. This administration is even more crooked and contemptible than Clinton's was, and THAT is saying something. Check out this article and see for yourself.

***The world's biggest treehouse. 10 stories, no kidding!

***Liars. The NAACP is the biggest racist group out there.

"We take no issue with the Tea Party movement. We believe in freedom of assembly and people raising their voices in a democracy," the NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous said in a written statement announcing the unanimous vote. "What we take issue with is the Tea Party's continued tolerance for bigotry and bigoted statements.

"The time has come for them to accept the responsibility that comes with influence and make clear there is no place for racism and anti-Semitism, homophobia and other forms of bigotry in their movement."
Ben Jealous claimed that there were signs at Tea Parties saying "Lynch Barack Hussein Obama." Okay, show us the pictures. First of all, the Secret Service would have been all over it. Secondly, the news media would have had a field day. This is a lie, just like the one told by Clyburn, Pelosi, et al about the "N" word being shouted at them as they walked to the health care vote. Never had any proof been produced of that, either. These people lie more than they tell the truth. I wonder if they even know what truth is.  They're trying to gin up their base, hoping to blunt the beating they're going to take in November. Groups like the NAACP claim to want "unity," then they do everything they can to incite hatred within their ranks. Don't forget the Right Rev. Jeremiah Wright is a card-carrying member. I'm surprised they haven't elected him as chairman, since he reflects their views so well.

***Here is how the media glom on to lies, the "N" word whopper in particular, and continue to repeat them when it serves their purpose, even when they KNOW there is no evidence.

Rainy Days & Mondays

***Wow, what a night. I couldn't sleep and I have no idea why. Now I'll be fighting to stay awake and get my work done all day. Oh well, maybe I'll sleep better tonight.

***The color of his skin. How is voting FOR a person solely based on the color of his skin any less racist than voting AGAINST him for the same reason? Answer: It's not any less racist at all. If you read through the comments and interviews in this article, you will not find too many policy comments. What you will find is that Obama is black, and that's why they love him no matter what.

***Of course it's toxic. Obama's administration attacking one of our states for daring to enforce federal law is ludicrous. They are claiming it infringes on federal jurisdiction, but THEY ARE NOT ENFORCING THE LAW, therefore Arizona is going to do it. So much of what Obama does is unprecedented and bizarre, but there you are. That's what you elected, clueless Americans!

***Wow. Cruise ship offering on board Botox. Now *that's* desperation! You meet a hunk and think, oh boy,  gotta get Botoxed! I can see it now, at dinner. "Honey, did you get stung by a bee or something?"

***Check this out.

As expected, he claimed that Associate Attorney General Thomas Perrelli, an Obama appointee, overruled a unanimous recommendation by six career Justice attorneys for continued prosecution of members of the New Black Panther Party on charges of voter intimidation in an incident I detailed here yesterday. But Mr. Adams leveled an even more explosive charge beyond the Panther case. He testified that last year Deputy Assistant Attorney General Julie Fernandes made a jaw-dropping announcement to attorneys in Justice's Voting Rights section. She said she would not support any enforcement of a key section of the federal "Motor Voter" law -- Section 8, which requires states to periodically purge their voter rolls of dead people, felons, illegal voters and those who have moved out of state.

According to Mr. Adams, Justice lawyers were told by Ms. Fernandes: "We're not interested in those kind of cases. What do they have to do with helping increase minority access and turnout? We want to increase access to the ballot, not limit it."

Why would the Dept. of Justice not want dead voters purged from the voter rolls? C'mon now, use your imagination. Think Al Franken, Christine Gregoire, Al Gore, etc. Illegal voters vote overwhelmingly Democrat. THAT'S why.

Redneck Tree Hugger!

***Yea, weird title, I know! I got an email containing this letter and thought it was great. I checked it out to make sure it was legitimate, and it is. Here's the link. This guy out in Colorado makes the *conservative* case that Barack Obama is the best thing that's ever happened to America. When I first saw the headline I thought, oh geez, here's a true liberal believer...but then I went on to read it. He makes some very good points.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

I think he's right. Read the whole thing, it's really good. I've often said that one bright spot about Obama being elected is that he has woken a lot of people up, but I would have to stop short of saying he's the best thing that's ever happened to America. I guess he is...IF we can stop it in time. If we can get our majorities back in November and make the contrast between liberal and conservative painfully obvious to Americans, then yeah, his election might have been just what we needed. If we don't, though, I think he will inflict so much damage that it will take decades to right the wrongs, if indeed it can be done. Fortunately, I do agree with Mr. Hubbell that Americans have seen what unchecked liberalism can do, and most of them don't like it. I just hope the fire in their bellies continues to burn so that we can get eradicate liberalism in this country. Okay, maybe that's a bit too much to hope for...there are the large number of idiots who elected Obama in the first place to deal with, but hopefully a lot of them have had their eyes opened, too. All I can say is, keep praying that Mr. Hubbell is right!

Heat Wave!

***I know we're not getting it as bad as a lot of other areas, but boy is it hot in Indiana! Oh well, it's summertime, it's supposed to be hot.

***It's all about the politics. Turns out that Rhode Island has been enforcing a similar immigration law to Arizona's for a long time. And it works. That's why it's not getting any attention. Arizona's action is much more politically expedient for the lefties, and that's why they're making such a big deal of it. The Democrats are in for a butt-whoopin' in November, and they need all the Hispanic/Latino votes they can get. They don't care if they're legal or not. Heck, they love illegal votes! ***Obama is bypassing the Senate, and the American people, in a recess appointment of Dr. Donald Berwick to head up Medicare and Medicaid. There is a lot of opposition to Berwick because of his love for socialized medicine, namely the failure that is the British health care system. This shouldn't surprise anyone. Obama doesn't *care* what the American people want, nor does he care about what is best for the country. He has an agenda, and it's socialist to the core. Face it, our president is a jerk.

***What are Tea Partiers *really* like? It's certainly nothing like you're seeing in the MSM.

Basically, Tea Partiers are people who have a more sophisticated understanding of current events than those who describe themselves as anti-Tea Party. Anyone who doesn't realize that the exploding federal debt represents a serious threat to our future either is a fool, or doesn't have children. (That, actually, would make for an interesting survey.)

Pooped Out

***What a weekend! We had a great time - Friday was the party, Saturday I spent cleaning and shopping, getting ready for everyone coming for dinner yesterday. We had a beautiful day and dinner was good, if I do say so myself! We had our annual family cornhole tournament. My soon to be niece-in-law and I won last year, but we had to relinquish our crown to my husband and mother-in-law yesterday .Oh well, we'll get 'em next year! All in all, a wonderful weekend! Back to reality today as I didn't do much typing over the weekend. All of my offices are closed today, though, so I should be able to get everything done.

***You must love Dear Leader, or you shall be booted.

***This is unbelievable. Obama has instructed NASA "to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with predominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering." Thus, NASA's primary mission is no longer to enhance American science and engineering or to explore space, but to boost the self-esteem of "predominantly Muslim nations." that really supposed to be NASA's mission, Mr. President?

What a Weekend!

***Had the party on Friday, now today everyone is coming here for dinner! There's gonna be 10 of us. We're having barbecued ribs. My husband Mark does those and they're always fantastic. I did something wrong to my banana pudding, though, it didn't set. Soooo...I spooned it into parfait glasses and we'll eat it that way. It's good, it's just runny. Ah well.

***"President Obama is different from his liberal predecessors in that he does not believe in American exceptionalism; for that matter, it doesn't seem that he much believes in America, period. One wonders: how did such a man become President?" So asks Scott Mirengoff over at Power Line blog. Unfortunately, the answer is as troubling as the question. There are many Americans who believe the same way. They have been indoctrinated by our public schools and universities, for one thing. Most Americans believe in American exceptionalism, but way too many have been taught otherwise. It's not going to be easy to turn that around, but if we are to survive as a country it has to be done.

To uphold what is right;
Give me strength and courage
Each day and every night.
Lord, hear this soldier’s prayer
To You in heaven above;
Protect me with Your power,
And sustain me with Your love.

Party Time!

***Okay, it's 3:22 a.m. and I've got my cake in the oven! Am I on the ball or what? I'll do my meatballs and little cucumber sandwiches later. In between all that I have to get my work done! The party tonight will be fun, it always is.

Gettin' Ready to Party!

***Our annual Fourth of July bash is tomorrow night (yeah, I know it's the 2nd, work with me!). I've got shopping to do today and cooking to do tomorrow! We always have a ball...lots of food, fun, friends, and family! Oh, and fireworks!

***The appalling decision by the Department of INJustice to dismiss the Black Panther Party case is starting to blow up in their faces. It should. Check out this report.

***On the edge of an economic cliff. Not fun reading, but very informative and very truthful. We gotta do something, and fast. Hopefully November won't be too late. Too bad a president can't be impeached for glaring incompetence.

***Good advice from Rush: Don't give up, just keep going! He's right. My husband and I both own small businesses. Earlier this year both of our businesses were down, way down, and we were getting pretty worried. Rather than giving up, though, I spent a couple of hours a day on,, etc., putting in applications, sending out resumes, and it paid off. I landed a very large client and am doing much better now. Mark spent hours on the phone, sent out postcards, etc., and his business is picking up, too. You just gotta keep at it.
